At 45 I feel very confident that if a twenty year old started ish...i'd whup his ass about 3X's...

-after stretching for thirty minutes
- taking two Ibuprofen
-making sure my readers are in their case
- wife is holding my watch. That wedding band needs to stay on in case I connect
- well hydrated
- the Cops are on their way
- there aint no junkyard dogs down ar.

If all those planets align, and Ive not driven off in the Minivan. Somebody's ass could get whupped.

Marcos Garza on Basilio talking about the NCAA case. He says it’s more like 55/45 in Tennessee’s favor and not a slam dunk. I do not like that.

He did say that if we’re granted the TRO it’s a good sign for us overall.
He needs to stick to PI, and making commercials that play 9,999 times an hour.

Actually, he and my brother are members of TTLA et al, together. Marcos was on his way into UTL and bro on his way out in late nineties.

Says he is a very good lawyer and very smart guy. Id take his word to the bank.

With all due respect to Marcos, his firm does criminal defense and personal injury. I do agree its not a slam dunk; nothing in law is.
TRO prior to and/or Temporary Injunction on 2/13 does equal winner winner chicken dinner.

He does criminal defense, personal injury, and DUIs.

not sure how it would be 55/45 when they clearly changed the rules mid-year and are simply trying to enforce them after the fact and pick on us, when other schools have been proven/shown to do the same thing or worse... The fact that we came into this so confident and had things already buttoned up, I don't think anything happens except the NCAA losing...
They may get to enforce these rules this year/moving forward, but not sure how a judge can rule in favor of someone trying to enforce rules after the fact...

I have a family friend that knows him as well. I’ve heard the same thing.

Something I think they should have mentioned is that this is just the opening salvo in this whole (potential) ordeal. Even if this fails, if the NCAA proceeds with allegations/discipline, all the individual parties involved (UT, affected players, affected coaches, Spyre) will also have their bite at the apple.

personal injury lawyers should not be listened to, pretty much ever!

You guys are on the right track.

Marcos is well connected, well respected (cant believe im defending this guy) businessman. He has thrown out a number as a cautionary tale that this isnt a slam dunk. Perhaps he shouldnt have given over/under. And prefaced it by saying 'im just a PI lawyer'. But its a small fraternity.

Guarantee he has extensive experience in Greeneville TN. And knows the Court's tendencies. And knows the appellate process, and their tendencies.

He is extremely smart and seasoned attorney. Id say he is a better authority that any of us morans.

He was addressing the legalese more than anything. It’s not about what’s right but what you can prove. Can Tennessee prove it’s being wronged? I’m no lawyer and not interested in lawyerings but I do know how fickle the courts can be over the smallest thing which is what makes me nervous.

Will love when it gets to the point to where when I jump on the main Vols recruiting page and quickly scroll down all the players we are looking at and the majority don't have 3* by their names, they have 4-5*... not sure if that will ever happen, but a star gazer can dream ;) ... And in before folks jump in and make excuse as to why they are 3* and they'll get a bump after their senior season, etc... We are needing CB/DB's, LB's, DT's, OL, and a few WR's and I'm not seeing a lot of elite talent yet...A few here and there... still very early though, so things can change, and there is certainly some really good talent on the board right now...
Hopefully MacIntyre is able to pull several of those elite guys that seem to be interested in following him here... Especially the OL and WR...
