Maybe I missed it but did Locke say he wanted to kill Jacob? I was drinking so I just remember him wanting to take everyone there and confront him.

pretty sure the only thing we were left with was that dumbfounded look on ben's face

So Locke is really dead. I'm pretty sure this is playing out to be a God vs. Satan ending. Notice the white jacob was wearing in the beginning, and the other guy wearing black. Crazy stuff, and I can't wait for season 6!

I'm so pissed!!! I knew that's how it was going to end, but still. Now we have to wait until January!

At this point I won't even hazard a guess, speculate,or infer I know what the H3LL is going to happen next.Much less how it will all end.I just know it going to be one h3LL of a ride.

They just never seem to disappoint on the season finales. After all the guessing i did and theories i read, never saw alot of this coming. Now i have to wait the time it takes to make a baby till the next season, can't wait..

One negative though that sort of perplexes me,I will be awfully distraught if Locke's destiny was merely to be possessed by the evil antithesis of Jacob. To sell him like that and basically turn him into a puppet, not cool!
I so wanted to buy in to there being something more for him than "Dead is Dead".

BTW anybody noticed the "fade to white" Lost at the end? The Letters are in black now outlined by white, meaning evil is in charge insted of good?

exactly. the gf and I figured out that Locke was the devil while the show was going on. him falling out the window as Jacob sat there elicited a "fallen angel" from my gf.

i should have waited and started watching next year. Just as I get caught up, I get a season finale. Just dandy.

so i'm guessing that imposter locke/guy at the beginning is the smoke monster that we've been seeing throughout the series. it seems to make alot of sense when you think about it.

i'd say that is a very good possibility since it made ben's daughter appear and tell ben to do anything and everything locke said to do. this show is crazy good!

I don't think it's the smoke monster, although I think the guy who found the loophole works for it and worships him.

think about it. the smoke monster has probably been able to take the form of other people that are already deceased. it had already(IMO anyway) taken the form of ben's daughter and probably christian as well, which would explain his random appearances throughout the series. i wouldn't be surprised if the same thing is going on with locke. plus ben's daughter just happened to appear when he was visiting the smoke monster. i don't think that was just coincidence.

I think if we are getting into a "white vs black" good vs evil battle you have to think Christian might be one of the good guys seeing is he was always seen walking around in white tennis shoes. Also if anybody remembers that Jack was asked to retrieve Christians BLACK shoes to put on dead Locke in the coffin before they borded for the island.

I am kinda dissapointed that this show is going away from character driven episodes and now its all just plot driven episodes and the characters are sort of just a backdrop to the whole picture.

For example, Kate, Sawyer, Jack and Juliet were just all over the place last night. Starting with Sawyer, after all of this growth as a person and becoming a different caring character since season one, does a 180 faster than you can blink and dosent care if everybody dies? Kate just changing her mind about the bomb just like that? Juliet basically changing her mind because she got jealous over a look and now wants to blow up the Island? Honestly bad writing last night with character interaction, but plot itself was grade A suspense..

I remember at one time we thought the smoke monster was the means by which the island "course corrected". My wife loves the show but she thinks they just make stuff up as they go along. I see a much more of a method to the madness than she does. I still have a feeling that when the show is all wrapped up and over I will be disappointed.....don't know the reason why, I just have a gut.
