'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee)

A) oversight on my part, TBH. Forgot Dooley was Fall 2010.
B) Perhaps. But as someone who follows the Vols religiously and the rest of college football not necessarily religiously but enough to recognize big names, players, coaches, etc., Deboer wasn’t on my radar until he took over Washington. So my point here is that I don’t necessarily consider him being someone whose career is known to be a QB/Offensive mastermind. In fact, I’d wager a majority on here, if asked to give me a Top 10 list of coaches they consider offensive/defensive masterminds, Deboer wouldn’t crack Top 10.

So yes, I was wrong on Dooley, I don’t believe I was completely wrong my other part. And just because you cite a CBS article doesn’t mean I’m totally incompetent, but I appreciate the source material.
Would be interested in perusing said list and cross-checking it against Deboer's RECENT results to gauge how updated it is. If it includes Chip Kelly and/or Jimbo Fisher, I'd grades of slaw it.

You mean you don’t think Jimbo is a football god who only needed 5 more years at A&M to prove his worth?!

Never bought the genius angle on him…but “experts” knew better. HOMERUN HIRE was the subject of many a thread.
All the ”professional analysts” said the same thing about the Dallas Cowboys hiring McCarthy as their head coach, and he should have already been gone by now.

Made a career? He has been a D1 HC like 4 years
And? What does that have to do with the success he's had as an offensive guru before he was D1? Or a HC?

Heupel was only a HC in D1 for 4 years and was considered an offensive/QB guru/mastermind was he not? In fact, he was considered that before he was even a head coach, because he had demonstrated that as an OC.

Like it's being said, DeBoer wins everywhere he's been. And he scores points.

The same can be said for 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre, who should announce his decision early next week. Tennessee has done a fantastic job with MacIntyre. Josh Heupel spent a ton of time with him early on and that really left an impression. Joey Halzle and the Brentwood Academy product have gotten to know each other really well the last few months as Tennessee has always been in prime position.
Former Alabama commitment Jaime Ffrench is someone that MacIntyre has been working on. Kelsey Pope was by to see him earlier this week and they hope to get him up for spring practice. They would love to get him up here in early February for the next junior day, but he will be at the big 7v7 event in Las Vegas.

Bama's 5 star plus QB Julian Sayin is entering the transfer portal. Glad to see it but I hope it does not work against us as Alabama would have a more clear path for Gmac to play now when he had a worse shot there before than here. I hope the coaching change and mass exodus is too much for them to overcome in their recruitment of Gmac.

GMac will be committed to Vols very soon

I don't think GMac has any desire to be at a Nick Sabanless Bama.
