'25 TN QB George MacIntyre (Tennessee)

Giving those toothless bastages in Tuscaloserville time to weasel their way back into the picture.
KD isn’t known as a QB mastermind and is just now getting used to SEC and Bama recruiting, I don’t see this happening. But I’ve been wrong more than I’ve been right when it comes to the Vols, so who knows 🤷‍♂️

How’d his other QBs fair out? Even Dooley had a potential Heisman contender in Eric Berry, doesn’t mean Dooley is a defensive guru. My point being, when I think Deboer, I don’t think QB or Offensive genius.
He had Jake Haener at Fresno who had never started a game before DeBoer was hired. He became a very good quarterback and is now playing for the Saints.

They call school off for a hard frost these days good grief..

Years ago if students missed a day, we went a half day on Saturday to make it up..

With the school furnace broke down ,no heat in classrooms ..

Aaah the good ole days..
I remember them working on the boiler while sitting IN CLASS seeing my breath. When your maintenance guys were tunnel rats in Vietnam, a) you're goin' to class b) shut up c) dont whine

A) Eric Berry never played for Derek Dooley.
B) QBs all get better under DeBoer. He's known as a QB guru. He's made a career out of developing QBs and producing powerful offenses. I'm not sure why you think of him otherwise. Because you're the only one.

But here ya go: Alabama hires Kalen DeBoer: Why QB Jalen Milroe should take big forward step under wing of offensive guru

"Simply put, quarterbacks -- and offenses as a result -- get significantly better when DeBoer arrives on the scene."

It's like you were trying to type out a post that had as much wrong in it as possible. And you nailed it.

Made a career? He has been a D1 HC like 4 years

A) oversight on my part, TBH. Forgot Dooley was Fall 2010.
B) Perhaps. But as someone who follows the Vols religiously and the rest of college football not necessarily religiously but enough to recognize big names, players, coaches, etc., Deboer wasn’t on my radar until he took over Washington. So my point here is that I don’t necessarily consider him being someone whose career is known to be a QB/Offensive mastermind. In fact, I’d wager a majority on here, if asked to give me a Top 10 list of coaches they consider offensive/defensive masterminds, Deboer wouldn’t crack Top 10.

So yes, I was wrong on Dooley, I don’t believe I was completely wrong my other part. And just because you cite a CBS article doesn’t mean I’m totally incompetent, but I appreciate the source material.

The article gave specific examples of how QBs developed under him. You not considering him a QB/offensive guru doesn’t change that.

And yes, he’s known as a QB/offensive guru. Anyone who follows the landscape of college football closely would put him in the top 10 offensive minds. Probably top 5.

You acknowledged that you don’t follow the rest of CFB religiously. That’s fine. And it explains why you don’t know about DeBoer. He just landed the Alabama job and the primary reason by far is his ability as an offensive/QB guru. He’s not known as a recruiter or a defensive mind. He has won at every stop because he scores points and produces QBs.
