SC= South Carolina. And thats still a bad loss either way. Lose at UGA this weekend, then what? It’s a must win, IMO.
I agree it’s a must win. Already sitting on 4 losses despite who they came from. You can’t keep stacking Ls this early without it costing you later.

Wisconsin is in the SEC? That game was a long time ago and the Vols have gotten very inconsistent since then.
Despite your opinion, it will be a meaningful road win in the big picture. It's a marathon regular season so there will be highs and lows. See how many ranked teams got beat by unranked teams this week? There's a forest out there

They won't give us nearly the issues we had last game. They have 1 big man. Their top 7 players in minutes are 6 guards and their center. They pretty much depend on 2 guys in the post like us. Tchewa and Deloach. Physically they match up pretty much 1/1 with us. Top 6 scorers all guards.

I didn’t say they were in the SEC. They’ve played ONE SEC road game. I assumed you could make the connection between a tough Big Ten game and an SEC game. I was wrong. So, games earlier in the season don’t count? So, despite winning 7 games in a row prior to last night’s loss, that means we’ve become inconsistent. Do you really not understand how absolutely illogical you are concerning Tennessee? You’ll say anything to slight the Vols, true or not.

I think we want the same thing here, Vols to win and play to their potential consistently. Let’s hope they figure that out soon.

It’s going to be single digit temps Tuesday night.

When there is so much anticipation of Snowmageddon in Knoxville, it seems like it’s usually a nuthing burger. But it’s gonna be cold AF.

Grant Nelson is a bit of a potential matchup problem given he is 6'11 and can put the ball on the floor. Hopefully JJJ is assigned to him. Bama doesn't have great post players but have a handful of big guys that can play minutes. With Nelson they can really spread you out and hit you up with alot of drives to the basket. ZZ's ball pressure on Sears will be important and he can't get into foul trouble. Bama may be coming to town with the # 1 ranked offense in the country per kenpom.

Who from Bama will draw Knecht.
It’s going to be an interesting matchup. Bama hasn’t played a defense anywhere near as good as the Vols, and they honestly aren’t built for defense.

They’ve let almost every team get in the 70s. Which is fine if you’re scoring 90. I just don’t see them scoring out of the 60s against the Vols and we should be able to get in the 70s. Only real danger is us getting in foul trouble and giving them a bunch of free throws.

I’m guessing the lines settles in the Vols -4.5 or 5.5 range. Should be a win, will probably be stressful.

Who has insight on USCjr? 17-3 is quite impressive. Their 4 leading scorers are upperclassmen.

Meechie Johnson (15.7/4.1/2.5) at 6’2” could be the focus of the game plan. ZZ will have a tough assignment assuming he’ll be taking him.

6’2” Meechie
6’8” (250-BJ Mack)
6’4” Ta’Lon Cooper (4.3 assists per game)
6’7” Myles Stute
6’2” Jacobi Wright
6’8” Zachary Davis
6’7” Collin Murray-Boyles

Nobody fouls a lot. Rebounds are pretty well distributed.

Meechie is overall their best guy. BJ Mack struggles against teams that actually have decent/good post players. He struggled vs Kentucky, Miss St, and Alabama. The games he has produced have been against Missouri, UGA, and Arkansas. So it seems to me like he struggles against lengthy players with him only being 6’8”… Aidoo may make it tough on him. Myles Stute will not be playing, he’s out with an injury. Cooper is a middle of the road guy who can produce effectively some nights as he scored 20 against Kentucky but then can fall off to nothing in some games.

The number 1 plan will be to obviously keep Meechie in check. Force him to be a facilitator rather than their scorer. He has come back down to earth a little the past 5-6 games and is only averaging around 10 points in that span. IMO, I don’t see a way that USCjr knocks us off without Meechie hitting the 20 point mark. I don’t see many of their other guys being able to carry the load in order to walk away with a win.
