I hate those nights. Had one last night, too. Brain just won't turn off sometimes. Could be more the thought of the trip to the dentist than the coffee. In my case I realized I had forgotten to request a couple of retirement fund RMDs ... and the wife decided at the last minute I needed to take her to the doc today. One of the hazards of retirement - even little things need to be scheduled so you can plan your day.

We actually could use him and Slaughter both back at safety next season....something is wrong now i think. Martinez on the way out maybe? It's quite suspicious that EVERY experienced upperclassmen at DB is now in the portal....it would be different if we needed the room, but we do not. CJH and staff put together a top6 class of 20 members...but we havent even finished out our 24 class yet, much less finished it strong....now we have 10 guys total in the portal (counting PWOs) but have signed ZERO players from the portal, while missing on a couple we really wanted.

I am not saying "the sky is falling" bc it isn't....this 24 class (20 anyway) is stacked top to bottom...but we have a GLARING need at TE and need 2 from the portal, we need at least 1 Olineman from the portal also, we need help at safety and corner now thanks to losing our 2 best seniors at safety ....and we need to finish the 24 season strong which I dont even know if that is possible at this point.

Seems like something is going on behind the scenes....not sure yet what it is, and likely never will know....but it seems like we have a problem of some kind right now. Could be Martinez, i guess. We have never had a prolonged dead period of weeks with no good news about players though

Yeah, the trend is very disturbing. Makes you wonder if there's more to the problems with that part of the defense than just talent.

nah man..it is coffee. it wires me for a long time. I ended up crashing after last post and woke up at 9 and was a little late for my appointment. Got another large cup and still good to go. Even went to Ace and bought some topsoil and put it out in yard.
