I'm not sure about UGA beating FSU badly. Georgia has a good team but also has plenty of flaws, with more unmasked by injuries as the season progressed. It'll be telling to observe their attitude and attrition over the next several weeks.

I do agree with your observation about Michigan's response to Bama passing FSU. I suspect any other prospective playoff opponent would've had a similar reaction, because post-season Bama is objectively a bigger hurdle than post-season FSU. Records aside, getting the best four in the post-season is the committee's only stated mandate. That's why there's been no rule during the four team era stating that "an undefeated conference championship trumps all other considerations". That was never the case.

FSU isn't deep. UGA will have opt outs, so will FSU. The depth will show here. It's just a different program in a different stage.

Seems like a lot of people fail to realize what a down year this was for the SEC. We were not the dominant conference we normally are this year.
