The NFL and College football are completely different animals.

College football regular season is GOAT.

NFL has divisions, is smaller, has parity, and even at that the best regular season team doesn’t win.

Same with MLB, college World Series, March madness…. Postseason is a different season.

College football is unlike any other of the aforementioned. Booger’s earlier point proved the contrary. If H2H is some heavy weighted end-all be-all tie-breaker, no one would ever schedule them. I like the marquee matchups during the season. That would go away.

College football is yeah corrupt, subjective, political, and they are the only ones that do have liberties to pick their champions.

Postseason will never be perceived as fair until there is one super conference, four to eight divisions… like the NFL.
The problem with the bolded, it still isnt fair unless its the 32 best teams.

Vandy, UK, Rutgers, Virginia are grandfathered into their conferences, but they dont belong at all.

I think they'd rather be National Champs which they can claim

Play another game in a NY6 bowl with your brothers that you’ve worked your azz off with or claim a make believe championship.

I don’t think they’d choose the one you’re thinking.

FSUs argument is essentially "what about the kids feelings?"

I obviously would have preferred no sec team but it's not surprising. Did we really want a for sure blowout because of feelings? I don't think it's going to be such an egregious issue next year and beyond.

Michigans reaction to it not being fsu tells you all you need to know.

I hope they still beat the crap out of Alabama.

FSU will lose to UGA. Badly imo.
This is a straw man fallacy. That's not the argument. The argument is they're undefeated P5 conference champs with a pretty strong resume and a Top 4 defense. They deserve to be there.

A 12 team playoff will help a lot. I was in favor of a 8 team playoff forever but a 12 team playoff will for sure get all the deserving in and a opportunity for a few others. That should be exciting. The 4 team playoff has ran it’s course for sure. If we had it this year FSU and Georgia would still be alive even if not in a preferred seed. Folks will always find something to complain about. Next year number 13-14 will be trying to cry and where teams are seeded with be scrutinized. But with 12 teams the results will take care of itself on the field with all the top contenders having a opportunity. GBO

If they get in it confirms that the sport is pro wrestling with a football.

The people at the top of the sport, and especially the people at the top of our conference, do everything for money. Every single thing is about maximizing revenue and bringing in more money. Everything about the sport, every decision that is made -- big and small, is to drive dollars.

And they would have us believe that that motivator somehow stops at the officiating level.

Right.
I said this earlier and I believe it now more than ever.

They have turned this sport into a joke.

Access to endless amounts of data and analytics has allowed the networks and execs at the top of our sport (and conferences) to know what teams drive the most revenue. So before games are played, maybe even before the season starts, they know what outcomes are in the best interest of the conference, the networks, the people in charge that get paid for those results. It's obvious that they work backwards to make that happen.

It's disappointing and I'm completely disenchanted by college football as a sport.

It has become predictable because they protect the brands they depend on.

They beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the BIG 10 title game. With their 3rd string QB going 12-17 for 257 and 3 TDs / 0 int.

Had that Fr QB from TN balled out and FSU whooped that azz last night like 42-10 or something then FSU is in.

So really depends on how Bama would’ve looked without Milroe at the end if he would’ve gotten hurt.
I am sorry, nope. They would not be. If Travis was still healthy, they would have found something else. Or, they leave Texas out and find something else. I am not a tin foil hat dude, but this is beyond ridiculous.

Does everyone realize if Georgia had won FSU would have most likely still been out at 5???? Texas was getting in no matter what by the current metrics.
I'm not so sure about that.

If UGA wins it's easier to take FSU.

All chalk yesterday gives the committee enough reason to not change a thing from last week's rankings, except to move Bama down. Texas doesn't have the same cache as Bama, nor do they have Sankey in their corner.

You mean # of wins? He's a couple of great years away. SEC schools won't do squat. They're keeping quiet and enjoying the $$$.
Yep...our Tennessee leaders are whores that take money for getting screwed over and over again and keeping their coward mouths shut about it.

They disgust me too....they are all pimps and whores.
