The problem with the bolded, it still isnt fair unless its the 32 best teams.The NFL and College football are completely different animals.
College football regular season is GOAT.
NFL has divisions, is smaller, has parity, and even at that the best regular season team doesn’t win.
Same with MLB, college World Series, March madness…. Postseason is a different season.
College football is unlike any other of the aforementioned. Booger’s earlier point proved the contrary. If H2H is some heavy weighted end-all be-all tie-breaker, no one would ever schedule them. I like the marquee matchups during the season. That would go away.
College football is yeah corrupt, subjective, political, and they are the only ones that do have liberties to pick their champions.
Postseason will never be perceived as fair until there is one super conference, four to eight divisions… like the NFL.
Vandy, UK, Rutgers, Virginia are grandfathered into their conferences, but they dont belong at all.
