And just not true. They have the best DL in the country and a top five defense. Going against a pro style offense, they would have eaten that up. It would have been a 10-9 game.
Now Bama is going to steam roll them because you can’t beat them with that style of offense.
I hope Michigan nukes them into oblivion...but...the refs are going to make sure Bama either wins or has a good chance to win....bet on it.Bama could barely beat Auburn, Arkansas, tamu, even USF
Michigan gives up 9.5 ppg lol. Alabama gives up twice as much, while their offense scores less.
They'll get their boots smoked
FSU's defense would at least give them a chance
It’s absolutely corruption. The message is that they don’t care what you do on the field- just put together games to maximize ratings. That’s not free competitive sports. It's not corruption, you all are being millennial level sensationalists.
Bama will draw more ratings, a competitive game will draw more ratings. And fsu couldn't beat anyone in the top ten right now. I disagree with the decision because I value regular season resume more than the committee obviously does, but prioritizing a competitive team over one that is a totally different team today than it was during the season due to a star qb being out isn't corruption.
Martin would've earned that spot and earned the opportunity to put together a car that he thinks would be best suited to compete. Just like FSU earned the spot and the opportunity to put together the best team they can. The coaches were good enough to put the players in a position to win every single game they played. There is zero evidence that they wouldn't continue to do that given the opportunity. If mark Martin's car got permanently damaged between qualifying and the race, that would be a better analogy.
I'm not agreeing with the committee, but those acting like it's corruption when they've literally said the whole time they're going for the four best teams are being dramatic.
US?! Are you kidding? Your argument just lost all credibility. Us without Hooker isn't even a top ten team last year.Wrong again.
Four best teams wouldn’t have put TCU in last year. They would have put Bama or us in. But they didn’t because of record and conference title.
Everyone knew TCU was not a top four team last year and got beat like a drum by UGA.
So, if Milroe gets injured on the fist play, they should just call the game, right? Because at they point Bama is no longer the 4th best team.Soo....why did the committee even have FSU ranked 4th last week?!?
Only to know any wins by Oregon, Texas, or Bama would jump them?? Texas beat Iowa, who was ranked lower than Louisville.
If Travis were healthy and they still left them out, that would be corruption. Trying to put the current best 4 teams in is misguided and not the way I prefer, but it's not corruption. Prioritizing projecting current level of competitiveness isn't corruption. It’s absolutely corruption. The message is that they don’t care what you do on the field- just put together games to maximize ratings. That’s not free competitive sports.
The networks and commissioners are running the industry. It’s greed.
When you have a proper playoff system, all the subjective garbage doesn't matter. That's the real problem here.I'm trying to imagine the NFL trying this horse**** logic. "Well, we know what the on-field records says, but we're going to just do a random sniff test and state who the best teams are for the playoff."
But FSU has proven they can win without a great offense by beating a top10 team by 2 scores in a conference title game. But FSU has not proven that they have much offense without Travis. Michigan/FSU may well have been a replay of Michigan/Iowa. We can always conjecture about how things may have played out, but FSU had two games using two backup QB's to prove they could still perform like a top four team. IMO it was undeniable that their offensive performances showed a big drop off from every other game of the season, which was enough to knock them out.
It's a fraud....the ONLY reason I givaIt’s absolutely corruption. The message is that they don’t care what you do on the field- just put together games to maximize ratings. That’s not free competitive sports.
