He has good size and speed….. He is just learning the position…. i’m glad you all are not my coach.
I don't agree with you sometimes, but you nailed this...it seems like idiots here can not grasp the concept of progression. Some kids progress at a much slower rate than others and that throws impatient people (which is a pretty large, and VERY loud chunk of our fanbase) for a loop..."He sucks....if he was good enough to play SEC ball, then he would already be doing it by now"

It will be interesting to see how long the dolphins offense can keep it up. Great scheme, but there’s a reason guys like Spags at KC can dominate them
I also think that part of the reason college is “more explosive” is because kids/young adults on defense make too many mistakes that lead to those big plays often.

In the nfl, you have grown ass men that have seen most every play known to man out there playing defense, so you don’t have the miscues very often that lead to the explosive plays multiple times a game

I think out of every position group the Inside linebackers have the most potential out of any group on the team.

Tealander is a thumper and plays with good leverage and instincts. Defense played well when he was on the field this season.

Kaleb Perry has the ideal frame to be a great sideline to sideline LB. More atgletic Beasley IMO.

Carter is just a freak. Needs to get better in coverage.

Herring as was stated earlier he isnt very instinctive. The long TD run vs Florida the Gators ran a counter play and his misfit opened up a giant hole. Also has misfits vs Missouir and Bama. In pass coverage he doesnt understand his spacing very well. He will get better as time goes on but if he doesnt improve quickly he will slide down the depth chart because the other 3 are better

Oh yeah watching a 56-3 blowout every Saturday is way better than NFL ...lol
I'd prefer watching 59 points get scored by 2 teams I dont care about rather than 20pts scored by 2 teams I dont care about.

Its not about the level of athlete, its the terrible schemes and play calling. There is a larger variety of teams in college, a larger diversity of offensive and defensive schemes, and the storylines for each season are much better than the pros. We rarely see a team in the pros come out of nowhere to have an incredible season. We know who is good, meh, and bad before the season starts. Teams in the pros sometimes tank their season for draft picks. There is not incentive in college to tank a season. . .

Perry is another I forgot about, but honestly he's 100x better than Herring as well

I have high hopes for Smith too. People forget he broke Owen Pappoes tackling records, at the same HS, same division, same position. And he’s bigger. He’s gonna be a good one
Flashed on special teams too. Hoping he takes the JRM route. Dude was a beast by his sophomore year and unstoppable. We really need Telander, Carter, and Smith to take a big jump this off-season and be beasts next year.

Who in college has had a magical season in last 10 years ,, TCU....
Just as in the NFL ...that win every year...the college game is same names every year ...

If there was a reason to tank college teams would do the same....

I like both College and Pro... But College is far from being better....
Grown ass Men vs College kids

often times the linneal male does things without consideration for others. wearing skinny jeans/and the ilk handlebar moosetaches, dangling earrings, carrying man purses, and all other things like that.

@nicksjuzunk i'm happy you get to still refer to them as 'quads'. at some point they will just be referred to as 'that part of my legs that needs work.'
Not to be confused with the part of the body formerly known as the glootz, now known as flat-saggyz.

Meh. Every year there is a storyline from a team no one expected to have a good season. . . JMU this year. There is no reason to tank a season, so they dont. As soon as they start, the overall quality will fall, just like the pros.

You call them Grown Ass Men, I call them over-paid half-assers. 👀

The part where you are a ------
My issue is that there are people that want to rag on me for having questions and hesitation about the program. There are a lot of positives to take away from Huepel so far. There are some questions that have to be addressed for him to be what we all want him to be. For me personally, I will never be ok with a loss to a team with a losing record (even if it is against UF with some magical hex on us). I will admit that sometimes I push on here just for fun conversation. Overall i really happy with what Huepel has shown us. Just really need to see him clean up a few things and take the next step...

Take care of yourself before worrying so much about other people.

Then stop worrying so much about other people.

I rarely watch it...because when I do, it bores the living 💩 out of me.

About the only games I watch are the ones with VFLs playing.

I remember when the NFL was awesome and had brilliant geniuses building beautiful offenses and punishing defenses....now, nothing...just boring, cookie cutter, sloppy AF garbage.

I know what’s listed, but unless Joseph’s body just hides the weight, he is lanky as mess, he doesn’t have a lot of Muscle definition. Maybe he can get bigger and retain his current speed etc?

He does look like his frame can carry a lot more weight but he’s got muscle

Like I said in the post you responded too...this was a losing team with a bad coach.

I pointed out over and over again the easily identifiable, obvious flaws the roster had going into the season, especially with the inevitable injuries that would come...we went to UF already down our most important LB and Ol...plus got a inarguable screw job from the refs....that we lost there was not as surprising to me as it was to others...because of their "expectations" instead of reality.

Also, it was probably your blanket statement about what record would be acceptable next year, without waiting for the details of how that record may have unfolded, then switching to complaints about year three when called on it.
