Brutal....
3 bottom feeders in Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Mississippi St.
2 teams in turmoil in Kentucky and Florida
Only 3 teams are Anywhere near brutal ... Georgia , Alabama and maybe Oklahoma...
Non Conference is cupcake city ...

Now reply with I'm ignorant and delusional...
And the classic🦬💩
The issue is that it's a competitive disadvantage.

FYI, Saban started trying to end his annual games against Tennessee and LSU last year. In case you want to call someone out. He'll prolly get his way, no?

At any rate, everyone will play everyone home and away every four years beginning 2024 -- or at least that has been promised.

I personally can't imagine Birmingham giving up the power and influence on outcomes they exercise by means of annual schedules. But justly, the four year schedule was be set and run in perpetuity. That would mean if anyone was favored in one year an alternate year would compensate because the other teams would show up together. And without annual announcements, annual "meddling" would be ruled out. I predict Sankey will say he has to change schedules every year, so the league can make money on a television show announcing what the Birmingham office has decided in private.

Exhibit A on why I worry about him playing in whatever bowl we end up in. Even a bad ankle sprain could kill his potential draft value.
He has actually had injuries this season, too. First the bruised ribs for weeks, then the knee. He is as healthy as he has been for long time right now, as far as I know.

Next year if you finish 3 or 4 in the SEC you are probably making the 12 team playoff.
Which means you get a bye week to rest up before hosting a first round playoff game.
Imagine having to play in the SEC championship game losing then turning around the next week to play another game.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see more CFB champions not be their conference champion.

I only want Joe in the bowl game if we have an 80 yard bomb drawn up

I just want to see him shoot the football to the moon. Just to see it.

Draw up the "run as far as you can" and chuck it. One damn time.

Grumors are the best. Once I find a readable Indiana football board, I’m ready for a several weeks of entertainment.

Too bad there won’t be any MNF tie watch.
Indiana doesn't have the resources to track tail numbers, follow high end Ubers, and IU AD expense reports.

There is no such thing as an easy SEC game outside of Vandy for the program at this time...so yeah, that's some dumb 🦬💩.

We once again have to play the 2 best programs in CFB....something NOBODY besides Auburn has to do....now add in perennial top 5-10 Oklahoma AT Norman and yeah....brutal.

This program AT THIS TIME is nowhere near good enough roster wise to be thinking anything is easy.
Not easy but not Brutal either....
I guess we have different definitions of brutal....
Brutal to me is playing 4 or 5 top 10 ranked teams...
That schedule has no where near 4 to 5 top ranked teams..

That thread is confusing. They said that those team's opponents are heavily penalized, then they say everyone has it wrong when they say those teams get a favorable whistle?
I admit I didn't read it through. I @'d you on a different post about Birmingham being in real time communication with crews during games. Have you seen anything more on that?

I was on their site and they have zero (0) Gruden threads, and very sparse Gruden posts in their Hot Board thread

Disappointing

@LA Vol pointed out that the Knoxville media had everything they needed to do a deep dive on the officiating in the Bama game with video clips. And once all that would put into the public domain it would have been very powerful. But they of course didn't do it. Prolly running anniversary stories on some cornpone f--- up, instead.

The conference championship games actually make no sense with an expanded playoff. It's for money. And it is likely going to mean that being conference #3 is preferable to losing the title game. Otherwise stated, it builds in bizarre first-round seeding.

Large tournaments like in basketball and baseball diminish seasons and conference championships, and that is what this is. For huge fans, we will still hang on every game. But anyone would prefer a worse season, no championship, and winning it all from the 12 seed. Something gained, something lost. I like the expanded playoff overall. But I would wager that seeds become even more political and disputed than they are now. But controversy is free advertising. The networks eat it up.

Read the thread.
I dont read, unless its on a 4th grade level.

Ill be working toward my 5th grade goal necks year. Right now, i'm enjoying a third person driven narrative about a dog who chooses to leave its home, as recounted by the absent narrator.

1st person Dialogue ebbs and flows depending on who the central character interacts with, dog or human.

It was either this or Systems Theory.
