We're not near that now. We're three years in, so we'll add hyperbole to the accusation of impatience.

But we won't do well by giving into impatience, firing coached, adding chaos and instability, and resetting the clock.

But again, what you're doing here is complaining about timeline as opposed to breaking down the components that would dictate a reasonable timeline. That's symptomatic of impatience as opposed to rational analysis.

You own a company that builds boats. I can't imagine you managing in this way.

"So, what you're telling me is that there have been catastrophic interruptions to the supply chain and we just can't get parts B, F, H S, T, W, Y, and Z. You've worked your ass off to try to get them, but we just can't get them for four years. So, you've worked your ass off to get them, but also designed boat models that we can build in the meantime."

"OK. You're fired and I'll go shout at the ceiling while I wait for the next person I hire, who probably won't be able to do any better, and probably won't take the job anyway because they're good at their job, won't be desperate enough to work for a boss that fired the last guy for irrational expectations and manages via shouting at the ceiling."

Edit to answer your edit:

They may have had better players at key matchups. That's in large part what football is: Get good players, scheme to either hide or take advantage of matchup disadvantages. Can't always hide them, especially when they are just blatant.

Look, I'm not trying to be rude because I genuinely like you a lot. You're a great poster that I think is just impatient in this area, and it's probably a sign of great love for the program. That's not a bad thing. But...

You're making general assumptions and asking general questions to support them.

"Shouldn't we be better by now?"

Not sure. I doubt it, considering the starting point and the imposed process of remedying the problems faced at the starting point.

"Did they have better players or better coaching?"

Not sure. If it's that important to you, you should probably do more detailed analysis and breakdown of particular matchups that hurt us, and maybe even potential matchups that were(?) available but the staff missed.

I haven't done any of that, so you may well be right that we need to fire Banks. But I'm not convinced, considering the state of the program when he was hired, and the imposed slow process of repair. I'm at a place of remembering the crater we were in three years ago, so I've defaulted to thankfulness and patience.

You seem to have defaulted to impatience. You may be right. But I think more detailed analysis is in order to show either way.

Lastly, why does there have to be a "bus"? Why does anyone need to get run over right now? It could be that we have good players that we should be thankful for staying with the program through a hard season. They may be outmatched at times, but we still appreciate them.

And we may have really good coaches that are doing the best job with the progam as it now stands. That may be reality, and we just have to be patient.

Why demand someone get run over? Why demand a bus for anyone right now?

Can you quote where you were called a little baby?

I remember calling you impatient, but only after saying that such impatience is probably a good thing, and a sign of your love for the program.

I've read back through the discussion and literally don't see where you were attacked to a level that you are portraying here. I see a few people who disagreed with your points and tried to show that your logic was flawed (and how). Sure, there was some sarcasm, but nothing that should necessitate the promise of waging future war. I mean, geez...

As Butchna indicated, my take here is that there are a lot of cries from little blood.
@involuntary is a little baby.
Now do you remember?

Oh, so im just supposed to stfu. I got it.

The ones that aren't Banks supporters aren't the ones that are part of the discussion.

Like I said, you gave me grief over Butch. I said he'd never make it 2 years prior to his dismissal. Now you claim I didn’t know anything, it was just a lucky guess.

I didn't mean to offend., but when you give people **** expect **** back.
I’m a Vols supporter and on Banks, I just know he wasn’t dealt the best hand. None of them were. Many guys were offered this job and didn’t want it with our situation and didn’t want the issues that come with a fast pace offense. Not going over it all again but I would like to see this team when they are operating without one hand behind their back. That’s it. If suckage continues then fire them. You’re ready now. Danny, Josh and I are not.

we ain't fahrred nobody in a lonng time.

Seriously, I like pretty Holly. But obviously we are under achieving.
Why? She’s worse than Holly in every statistic possible.

People hated Holly because she pouted on the sideline and sounded like a sad toddler in interviews

In the first 5 years of each coaching regime.
- Holly has 20+ more wins
- 3 Elite 8s. Kellie has 0
- SEC Championship and two regular season championships. Kellie has 0

Holy signed 15+ top 100 recruits

Kellie has signed 5, two of those have transferred. Both of them were the highest players she signed as well.
