That I agree with! Our helmet would have to change to do a black jersey... and I DO NOT EVER want that to happen! I am a proponent for having a different/cool looking alternate uni, but no helmet changes please... Except for maybe making the facemask gray, but that's a throwback to the 60's style helmet.

I don't want a overhaul of the jersey just a lil tweak maybe like some thin piping something similar to what Arkansas did this year. Something subtle to bring in the new era of UT football but something that still has the tradition of Tennessee Football

Go to YouTube and search for Bruce Pearl rapping...you'll see what the checker board would look like on somebody...that would be confosuing as heck!!!

Hamilton and Tennessee are in re-negotiations with adidas for their apparel and shoe contract. Should an agreement not be reached, Tennessee would open the bid to both Nike and Under Armor, but Hamilton said, "The goal is to stay with adidas, because we have had and continue to have a great relationship with them."

I like the black jersey w/ white pants but I don't know about the black jersey w/ black pants though. It could grow on me. The grey uni's are just assinine.

I'm not a photoshop guru but I'd be intrigued at what thin black stripes outlining each orange stripe on the pants would look like, similar to what the white jersey has done w/ outlining the number. I think the thin black outline just makes it stand out and look so much better. I'd also be curious to see what the orange jersey would look like w/ the black outline of the number...

We do need to incorporate more black in the uni's (not just shoes), it just makes it easier to do subtle changes to the uni's if you're using 3 colors and not just 2.

What do these teams have in common? (1) They're in the Top 10 of all-time D1 wins, and (2) None of them have gimmicky alternate jerseys. (ND's green jerseys are throwbacks...big difference.)

Tennessee wearing any of those photoshopped alternates would look extremely forced. And lame.

We don't need black or gray alternates. We're TENNESSEE.

I bet Majors had some input after he showed Lane the film of Johnny Jones' run against Alabama in 1983 and Chuck Webb's run against Arkansas in the 1990 Cotton Bowl. Those white jerseys and orange pants looked awesome.

i remember seeing some orange pants with white stripes down the side like the regular ones, those look better to me than the solid oarnge.

Those are the ones that were ordered. We wore those against UCLA last year too. I thought it looked really sharp.

The more time that goes by, the more I really don't care if we get black jerseys or not. The orange pants are good though so I'm happy about that.
