Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

I had a grand time in Key West in late Spring of 1986. Caught a passel of dolphin/dorado/mahi-mahi on a charter and shared the bounty when I got home.

Key west stories - ate at a different restaurant every meal, drank at more bars than I can remember, watched the sunset every evening, missed the swim with dolphins charter because I over slept, closed down the strip club with the first mate of my fishing charter, and got bumped to first class on the flight to Miami because it was the first time flying for the teenaged girl seated next to me in coach (they thought that I was her chaperone). Eastern Airlines misrouted my luggage on the flight there and delivered it to my hotel the night before I left (I bought clothes each day that I was there and carried them on in a paper bag for my flight home). My only benefit was no charge for the three coolers of fish from my charter the day before.

especially the beach. They have to haul the sand in. The tourist folks will tell you how beautiful the beaches are.
I do like the homes/cottages.
Ya,
I’m not a fan of hauling in sand. That’s a pretend beach.
I guess that’s why I prefer St George Island to Panama City Beach.

The flats at key west……there’s nothing else like it on the planet

yeah, hit 'post reply" by mistake.
FWIW, KW is ok.Son lived there for a couple of months. Had a great time sailing there.
Expensive. Seems like a death trap. 25' above sea level.
Can you imagine what the entire east coast will look like when the African island breaks in half and falls into the ocean?
I think the keys will be completely washed away

No reconciliation with your family yet?
No
I believe we’re done as long as he’s married to the crazy ass gutter slut.

Honestly I don’t want her in my life ever again so they’re doing me a favor. The other brother has disowned them too. Not a big deal since they had not spoken in 5 years before I put this trip together.

Try to do something nice…..

Do you like living there?
I don’t really care for Nashville so I don’t go often. It’s like country PCB
Liked it for about 10 years. Too big, crowded, violent now. Very fast growth.
But, if you need first class health care it's a great place to be.
Stay away from Broadway, and it's not country PCB.
I used to work downtown, and commute on the train which you catch near Broadway and 1st street(by the river). I always enjoyed walking along broadway to the train in the afternoon, and seeing the ladies in thier short skirts and cowboy boots.
Something you didn't see in the business area.

PCB has the spring break crowd, downtown Nashville has the cowboy-boot-wearing bachelorette party crowd, I can see how they aren't that different
Broadway is just covered up with 30-40 year old adolescent looking for trouble.
Kinda like the black Hebrew Israelites outside Penn Station……only there is a lot more of them and they’re way more aggressive.
