Orangeslice13, a blessing to those around him…..Again

Ya,
I’m not a fan of hauling in sand. That’s a pretend beach.
I guess that’s why I prefer St George Island to Panama City Beach.

The flats at key west……there’s nothing else like it on the planet
I'm hoping this surgery works, and we can take a vacation to the keys in the next year or two.

I’m pretty sure he knows I’m playing and is prepared for the harassment coming his way should we win.

It's all good, Brother. Been a long week down here in the sticks. Long days.

So, yeah, it was starting to get a little testy, so I stepped back. Right thing to do. I love the Vols, I just can't trust them right now, especially on the road. I think they beat USCe...took them in the VN Pick 'em...but that spread worries me. Lord knows I'd love to show up here Sunday and on November 19th for a cold crow buffet. We'll be in the Gatlinburg area that weekend, but it'd be well worth being wrong to drive home blowing the horn through the whole state of Georgia. And we've gotta go from the top to the bottom, so...

You're a VN vet, and a class act. Posters like you and Behr are top-notch. We might not agree on all things, but it is what it is. Behr kills me with his amazing accuracy with those verbal arrows he turns loose on unsuspecting posters. There are times I would pay to watch it.

Some here I have no use for, but I value free speech over only reading what I want to read, so I try to remember to live and let live.

Go Vols.

Ya,
I’m not sure we win Saturday but I have my fingers crossed

Farther east. Far enough that any farther east is wet. We refer to it as "LSG". Lower Slower Georgia. Honestly, we don't think Atlanta knows we're here. Sometimes, that's a good thing.

Just south of Brunswick.

My mother used to live in White Oak.

I'd love some Skipper's fish camp right now!

I'm familiar. Smallest Post Office you've ever seen. And rumored to be the site where the inspiration for the song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree" came from. Or so I was told. I'm not a native. Navy transplant. But the tree is there, and it has a yellow ribbon around it, so...

You ever heard of the Shaker House?

Yeah, we eat there once or twice a month. We run out of Two-Way Marina (Mudcat Charlie's). Good food, but it gets old after awhile, so we head up to Skipper's, or B&J's. There are a couple of other places up there, but those two are the best. But B&J's is a guaranteed "food coma", so we have to time that one carefully. Running 35 knot pursuits after lunch at B&J's is asking for trouble, and trust me...it shows up. Few years back, I went out on a chine dig at 30+, and broke my right shoulder and left hip. Right shoulder was ugly. Two years to get back up to speed. Still have a limp, and if I sleep wrong I hurt all the next day.

Reach out if you get back down this way in the next few years. Love to have lunch with you, and show you what we do.

If the Shaker House is a coastal Georgia landmark, it’s slipped my mind. I have eaten at Skipper’s in Darien (read your post to Joe).

Are you still in the Navy?
