I also think if you’re going to really go for it at the deadline if you’re Atlanta…this is the year. You got the best team in the NL by a decent margin. You’ve got the division locked up. Home field is almost guaranteed. Dodgers the weakest they’ve been in a few years, Reds/Brewers/Cubs are fine but have significant holes. Philly’s pitching staff is mediocre. Giants/Diamondbacks aren’t on your talent level. To me, this is the year to overpay at the deadline if you were going too.
I can't argue. Losing Ozzie at second in a couple years aligns similar to Grissoms timeliness. At SS, I'm hoping the international kid we signed last year moves quickly and takes that spot from Arica. Although that might be a little too aggressive.As many guys as there are locked up at the MLB level, I think you're right. But . . . the middle infield does become an issue in the next couple of years.
