I understand that but it's been on a consistent schedule. Seems different than before. Idk. Not accusing, just an observation I've had for a bit.
Exxon Mobil had to shut down a gasoline unit at one of the largest refineries in the United States for expected repairs at the beginning of this week, sending gasoline futures up more than 5% on the news.
Every contract has some differences and the benefit goes back and forth between the company and the union employees. The company got a very good contract last time, this time it favored the union more. It really benefited new p/t employees the most. Most of our rates are cheaper than fedex.I would guess this deal only benefits employees and the union and not the company. You can assume this will lead to them increasing shipping rates to help cover their losses and people/companies will look for more cost effective shipping options.
Heaven forbid the employees scrape a few more crumbs off the floor.I would guess this deal only benefits employees and the union and not the company. You can assume this will lead to them increasing shipping rates to help cover their losses and people/companies will look for more cost effective shipping options.
Just curious as to why you believe that about the UPS/ teamsters contract?
UPS gave away the farm with this new contract. The white collar side turns over more than people change their underwear because that's where the cuts come from and yes contrary to popular belief you have to have competent and experienced management to run an organization. In a couple years UPS will have a hard time competing with the non union shippers.
My step son’s wife went to work at UPS right out of college. It was a stressful nightmare. Even when she was off on the weekends she would have to carry around her laptop and keep tabs on guys on why they haven’t completed their deliveries always well into the evening. She was thrilled to get out of there.
