Thanks Hog, good to know. I’ve had FedEx Freight in here every day lately, they’re my go to carrier for the bulk of our business.

We work for all of them and I knew Yellow wasn't doing very well, cancelled several projects and cut back on maintenance work but didn't know they were in that bad of shape. FedEx is in the process of consolidation/combining all of their operations Ground, Freight, Express will all be one operation here soon.

I would guess this deal only benefits employees and the union and not the company. You can assume this will lead to them increasing shipping rates to help cover their losses and people/companies will look for more cost effective shipping options.
