Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

Fun fact, as an organ recipient, I can't be an organ donor. I also can't donate blood.

But good to those who can. They help save lives. Like mine. Most do it selflessly, with no desire to be recognized. But if you do it for recognition, well, it doesn't really matter why you do it, you're still helping save lives. So thank you. It's just odd to seek recognition for it on a message board. Especially in a forum where we constantly tease and harass each other.

But, whatever.
Do you have a comprimised immune system and take rejection drugs?

Can I drive around town in my van collecting other people's blood then combine it into one big garbage bag for delivery to Red Cross? Will they take it? Like I know how to use a needle and I have a lot of ziploc bags.

And where does this place me on the Virtue Scale of Blood Donaters?
You can start with my new pic line.

Starting back on the antibiotics but they said I have to throw away the ones for the week I missed with the port dying. Seems wasteful but apparently they have a short shelf life even if kept in the fridge.
I can’t believe that they couldn’t replace the blocked line sooner. It’s such a common procedure, including on the inpatient side. Not saying it’s simple, because it’s definitely specialized, including the imaging, but still.

I hate the waste, along with you. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but I’m glad you’re back in business, my friend. 💕

My oncologist said he didn’t want me having any surgery as long as the infection is in my lung which includes replacing the port. When the infection is gone we will replace the port for the immunotherapy infusions. If I live that long. 😃
