Tennessee Softball 2023

God please let NW win tomorrow. Not only do I not want to see Ally Shipman’s career end in OKC but I also don’t want to hear “Montana Fouts” any more than I have to. ISTG she’s a great pitcher and I actually enjoy watching her pitch but the endless hype alone makes me resent her.
Agreed. That would just give her more time to talk about the "family atmosphere" at Alabama. Puke.

God doesn’t decide scores. Nor do coaches. Players do.

look at Drewbydoo accidently finding his way into the softball 🥎 forum lol.
Volstylexx = synonymous with rain. I feel like my Houston peeps would be proud of the representation! Yeah as chuckiepoo said, it recedes quickly here. We’ve been in the 90s most of the week so hot and dry currently.

Fun fact: Houston wasn’t a desirable place to live pre-1900s. It was swamp land. Everyone lived on the coast in Galveston. Then the great Hurricane of 1900 hit and killed 8,000 - 12,000 people making it the deadliest (still to this day) Hurricane to ever hit the U.S. Over 80% of the city was destroyed so folks moved inland to Houston. Fast forward 120 years and it’s now a suburban metro area of 8,000,000 people making it the third largest city in America.

I was reading about some hurricane coming to the US coast, (I don't remember which one) and that lead me to wikipedia and then me reading about the hurricane that devestated galveston. HOWEVER, I didn't know that's why Houston is as big as it is.

Separate from hurricanes, I knew that Houston was the third largest city because my dad works for AT&T and they provide internet services and obviously cell phone towers. Because I'm an only child I'll ask him about work and since I've been about 12 years old, my parents have cerebral, adult conversations with me about anything if I ask about it. Consequently because of his work, I can recite the top 10 largest cities (ie cable TV and cell phone users) so Houston comes up a LOT in our household even though we live 25 miles north of Atlanta.

I'm not being able to let go of the fact that this was the most blatant seeding favoritism I've ever seen in any sport. There were 4 SEC teams alone that should have been ahead of them. I guess we have to view it as an opportunity to put a trouncing on them in OKC.

Actually, it would be better if Alabama doesn't get to add another WCWS appearance to their recruiting brag-sheet. I've always been one of those crazy people who enjoys seeing the conference succeed, but for some reason, I'm suddenly feeling so excited about the possibility of our great Tennessee Lady Vols being the only SEC team in the Series.

Sit down, Bama. Tennessee's got this!
