No..... rational, intelligent people don't give your arguments any consideration whatsoever. Your use of the term 'gun nut' just confirms that you are a kook Everybody here knows what a fool you are. I guess it's just like watching a train wreck. You're a babbling simpleton, and everybody knows it. The real shame is that you have a) procreated, and b) can vote.So if I didn't use the term "gun nut" my arguments would be viewed as credible?
Sure, I believe that. Gun nuts aren't going to give my arguments any consideration rather I call them gun nuts or not.
And using the term gun nuts is one of the only enjoyable parts of posting in this thread.
Well, it was a waste of time. I included the punishment with the law intentionally. Obviously the law, it's enforcement, and the punishment for breaking it are intertwined. That's why many of the current gun laws are a joke. Many are willing to ignore the law because they know there is no enforcement and punishment.Actually you proved mine. Are you going to enforce that law you made or have someone do it for you? The law does not keep me from wearing red, the punishment might keep me from wearing it. Do you have the will to enforce this law? If so, where is your will to enforce existing gun laws? Your law is quite impossible and mine already exists. So please explain, with a murder law in place, what keeps you from committing murder? Because it's against the law? Is the written law the thing that keeps you from going savage or is there something else? Also, I might slow down for a second or two, but will speed back up when past the cop. In other words, the written law doesn't keep me from committing murder nor does it keep me from speeding. I am the one who is RESPONSIBLE for my actions. I doubt you will understand and this post is simply to explain to others my viewpoints on laws and personal responsibility.

Were I to sell a gun to a private citizen, I won't do a background check nor a mental inventory test. Nor am I required to. Are you in TN? I have no idea how they would prove it one way or the other anyway. Maybe you could use the HIPPA laws to your advantage... since no one has the right to know anything about your health.Don’t know about Florida, but most states do have laws about private sales. For example, pretty Ga and Tn it is illegal to sell a gun to someone you know is disqualified from owning one for some reason. Not arguing the efficacy of such laws, but there are some…
Pretty much no one supports any measure that will disarm the American populace. I don't know of anyone attempting to get the 400,000,000 million guns out of circulation. No one is going to deny most Americans their right to keep and bear arms.So how do they interpret when one of the authors of the 2nd amendment says we have a right and duty to always be armed? That those willing to give up liberty for safety deserve neither? "The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms."?
There are some MUCH harsher quotes that we all hope never come to fruition.
Yet you want more laws and restrictions on the books. Not really much of a solution is it? I mean you just admitted that the existing laws don't work, amiright?Well, it was a waste of time. So than your original post was complete BS? We mostly knew that.No..... rational, intelligent people don't give your arguments any consideration whatsoever. Give us an example. And your x/y argument won't do anything for the "400,000,000" guns already in existence as you said. So... the only people you will be affecting are current gun owners by making them criminals. Annnnnd... if they comply, the only people that will have 'illegal' weapons will be criminals.I want better, it doesn't have to be more.
Oh, yes, that is correct regarding background check, etc. Just pointing out there are some restrictions, but as you point out, tough to enforce. I have, as you, made private purchases and sales before. Were I to sell a gun to a private citizen, I won't do a background check nor a mental inventory test. Nor am I required to. Are you in TN? It would not apply to guns already in circulation, it would only apply to new guns manufactured.Give us an example.
