Not necessarily. I think we continue to progress into a more colorblind legal system. It's a process, but it certainly does not validate an absence of rational and reasonable laws.Poor black males.
They will be disproportionately impacted by these new laws and regulations, as is often the case.
They, unlike the “extremist gun nuts” with thousands of dollars worth of firearms, also lack the financial wherewithal to fight in court.
We will incarcerate far more of them than the ones you want.
We are progressing into a more colorblind legal system? Mercy. Not necessarily. I think we continue to progress into a more colorblind legal system. It's a process, but it certainly does not validate an absence of rational and reasonable laws.

We will set up another express lane to prison for Black American Men.
Maybe we can get @volinbham to do a refresher course on the War on Drugs.
lol......The minimum wage had multiple areas of impact for both what and black America in both positive and negative ways.deeply racist? every single thing? deeply racist history?
so 8188 was correct - minimum wage laws were a tool of racism; not just a conservative talking point
We are most definitely progressing. Still a long way to go.We are progressing into a more colorblind legal system? Mercy.

So let’s assume that’s true. Any semblance of equity in the legal system is years and years away, though.
In the meantime though - they are just unfortunate casualties of war?
Pretty much. The alternative is even worse. So let’s assume that’s true. Any semblance of equity in the legal system is years and years away, though.

I will give him credit for at least owning it.interesting isn't - if new restrictions are introduced and enforced the AA community will suffer the worst but it's okay because it's for their own good. Luther has decreed it. Amen.
See, what you have to understand though is that we are currently progressing past a justice system that consistently screws poor black men at disproportionate rates.the WoD is the perfect example and sewed the seeds likely for the gun crime epidemic we see now but by all means we should repeat it and the next time around it will all work out for the net good.
Come on. The fact that our legal system has never been color blind has never meant that we should scrap the legal system and not have laws. What it does mean is that we should constantly and publicly acknowledge that the system is biased and continually work to overcome that bias. They said the same thing in the 80’s & 90’s.
