Is The 1/6 Commission Coming?

This is probably the best quality of video of it ....

Of all of the lines from Byrd, this one stands out: “I could not fully see her hands or what was in the backpack or what the intentions are.” So, Byrd admitted he did not see a weapon or an immediate threat from Babbitt beyond her trying to enter through the window.

it was a questionable use of force by the rules of use of force but no one cares apparently

OK Folks..that the Killing of AB? That was weak for the proper use of force. Shot thru the door that hadn't been breached?

I will be consistent though..shoot any radical protestor on the streets that threatens one's livelihood.

I'm sure there are other cases that closely mirror this one that probably resulted in murder charges.

It would be nice for some neutral part to piece together the whole event - where were protestors let into and shown around the Capitol; where were they forcing their way in and engaged in violence and property destruction. were these two disparate experiences happening at the same time? was the violence at the beginning or at the end or consistent?

What the J6 Committee did by carefully selecting footage, editing footage and selling the absolute worst narrative is why evidence showing the bias is treated so strongly. Objectivity on the front end would have been better for all of the country. The day was bad enough that it didn't have to be portrayed in such a one sided manner.

What was her objective in climbing through that window? I mean ... what was the end game here? That whole thing was so senseless.

You realize she’s openly campaigned to have his death labeled as “in the line of duty”, right?

That’s why she attempts to link it to January 6th. You don’t believe the money influences her?
Do you realize we aren't just talking about one widow here?

senseless yes but that doesn't justify the shooting. I think Turley accurately points out that applying the same standard could have justified police shooting of rioters at any number of events through 2020.

it's possible to believe she was wrong, involved in criminal activity and still believe her shooting did not meet the standards for use of deadly force. the irony is that we spent a year having destructive protests over wrongful use of deadly force but nary a peep about this one.

maybe some of the cop suicides were because they felt the narrative was a lie but they couldn't tell anyone about it...

see? we can speculate about why someone offed themselves but speculation isn't facts.

Senseless and worthy of death arent the same.
She didn't deserve to die ... but what many of you miss, is that although she didn't present a physical threat by herself, she was a participant in mob violence. The threat was in the numbers. If she makes it through that window, will others follow? And once again, what was their objective? That cop had no way to know what they were going to do if he allowed them to keep advancing forward. They were not a group of peaceful protestors at that point.

Stay consistent then on street violence.

That Mob we saw and the church burning in DC..Shoot em all

the bolded is not considered justification for use of deadly force by the cops. "no way to know" is worse than a defense; it's an admission

Yes ... and other officers have committed suicide since then as well ... Their spouses have expressed the belief that this was attributable to PTSD from 1/6. I don't imagine you probably care anything about that though.

I have real doubts that any committed suicide because of PTSD resulting from 1/6. If that is what pushed them over the edge they had some real problems to begin with and probably shouldn't have been wearing a badge.
