This makes a lot of sense. It won't be implemented but the fact the Biden admin feels this acceptable tells me all I need to know. Just like CC.

However, the draft also includes a clause that the accord will go into effect on a “provisional” basis, as soon as it is signed by delegates to the WHO, and therefore it will be legally binding on members without being ratified by legislatures.

I don’t get why this is so bad. If one is allowed to identify as a different gender, why not be allowed to identify as a different race? I’m serious. Why is one any different from the other?

To me they are equally as ludicrous and just different flavors of the same mental disorder, but if you celebrate one, then why not the other?

Honestly, I haven't heard a good argument for distinguishing transgender from transracial. If the criteria for transgender is just that if you personally identify as X, then you ARE X, regardless of your physical characteristics, then I see no reason why X is limited to gender. X could be species, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. The easy way out for transgender advocates would be to say there is a medical/psychological basis for transgender, but not the other trans categories. The problem here though is if you give it medical/psychological basis, they risk it just being considered a medical/psychological issue, in the same way that narcissists, split personalities, etc are psychological issues.
