The biggest issue I have had is what you just said. Yeah I understand you were a team leader combat engineer but that doesn't qualify you to start as a foreman. Learn the job and most likely you will be pretty quick.
The military does a great job of disassembling someone and then putting them back together with a much more squared away mentality and work ethic. But the “motivational speeches” don’t cross over well to civilian life. ESPECIALLY with current generations of workers. But yes the ones that recognize that difference and adapt still have that mentality and work ethic that eventually shines thru if they are patientIt's funny, one of our new recruiters is also a career military guy like me. And even he says there's a huge learning curve during the transition to the civilian work force that a lot of people don't get until they've been out a minute or two. You can't just bark orders and expect people to jump out here.
But I think you're spot on. Those that take the time to learn jump up pretty quickly.

I don't think anyone here is implying that. The biggest issue I have had is what you just said. Yeah I understand you were a team leader combat engineer but that doesn't qualify you to start as a foreman. Learn the job and most likely you will be pretty quick.

I always put my former Supply Chief, who was a Gunnery Sergeant, as a reference on any job application. If they ever did have questions about what I did they were more than welcome to call him.
Yes. You’ve made it very clear veterans should get priority on veterans status aloneYeah that's what I have been thinking in his responses to me.
At no point in time did I say to hire veterans because they're veterans. Did I?
Yeah. Good grief is right.
And once again that's not what I said. I'm going to tell you like I told Hog. You need to work on your reading comprehension skills. You both have a bad habit of taking people's words and twisting them into something they didn't say.Yes. You’ve made it very clear veterans should get priority on veterans status alone
Yes you’ve made it clear you consider yourself libertarian even though you’re clearly a socialist.
Yes you’ve made it clear you feel you’re entitled to more than you’re paid because you consider yourself essential.
Yes we all see this in theyou post.
No I’m not going to play a game of Donjo with you about it. There’s no need. You’re a pane of glass on all this.
The biggest issue I have had is what you just said. Yeah I understand you were a team leader combat engineer but that doesn't qualify you to start as a foreman. Learn the job and most likely you will be pretty quick.
Ok victim. Your genius is just badly misunderstood. That must be it.And once again that's not what I said. I'm going to tell you like I told Hog. You need to work on your reading comprehension skills. You both have a bad habit of taking people's words and twisting them into something they didn't say.
And once again I never said I was a libertarian. Libertarianism is also rooted in socialism. There's a reason Lysander Spooner and Benjamin Tucker were popular amongst some of the famous libertarians in this country. I invite you to look both of them up.
MBA’s are the damn worst. Mostly useless yet they just know they’re top dog when they show up.It’s not much different in the business world. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to with maybe 2-3 years of work experience and fresh out of business school think they should be hired as a director or VP*.
* not like a bank VP but one to two levels from the top job
Sounds like you're the one playing victim. You and a select handful of others despise it when people have some different views on a topic.Ok victim. Your genius is just badly misunderstood. That must be it.
Yep. You called it. I’m really the victim and just projecting it on you. It’s not you doing the projection back like you do every damn time.Sounds like you're the one playing victim. You and a select handful of others despise it when people have some different views on a topic.
Also, if you're as smart as you claim then look up Lysander Spooner and Benjamin Tucker and we can discuss the roots of libertarianism in this country.
Exactly like I thought. It's too difficult for you to have an actual intelligent debate on a topic. I even provided the subject matter.Yep. You called it. I’m really the victim and just projecting it on you. It’s not you doing the projection back like you do every damn time.
