What exactly in modern American life is worth generations of slave labor and a hundred and thirty or so years of second class, or worse, existence?Absolutely. Descendants of slaves have had the advantage of opportunities including education and work opportunities they would never have had in many parts of Africa. We need to get off the stupidity of believing that a person is who his great-great-...-grandparents were and he/she can never rise above that. Opportunities starting with education are there for the taking; I'm sure as hell not going to accept that someone couldn't or can't take advantage of that because of someone several generations prior. Time for this BS to end.
