President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Absolutely. Descendants of slaves have had the advantage of opportunities including education and work opportunities they would never have had in many parts of Africa. We need to get off the stupidity of believing that a person is who his great-great-...-grandparents were and he/she can never rise above that. Opportunities starting with education are there for the taking; I'm sure as hell not going to accept that someone couldn't or can't take advantage of that because of someone several generations prior. Time for this BS to end.
What exactly in modern American life is worth generations of slave labor and a hundred and thirty or so years of second class, or worse, existence?

THE LUNATIC INSANITY of the LEFT is on DISPLAY ... A SF reparations panel is recommending each eligible black resident of the city gets a one-time payment of $5 Million to redress the decades of harm they have experienced.
San Francisco Reparations Committee Proposes Staggering Amount for Each Longtime Black Resident .... Leo Terrell says this is outrageous. It's unlawful. It's unconstitutional. It's racist.
According to the Daily Mail, the proposal could cost SF about $50 Billion.
Have they shared what they plan to do for the indigenous and Asian Americans that are descendants of slaves in CA

If only their own people hadn’t sold them.
White leftoids themselves celebrated the recent film The Woman King, about a barbaric tribe of Africans that made what they had by warring with and selling neighboring tribes to slavers. With that in mind, the only deduction that can be made is that they think slavery is at least an alright thing, no?

As much as I loathe this admin..what we are seeing is not some acceptance of law by these revelations. Just who is pulling the stings?

Deeply disturbing and someone is making a Kingmaker and someone is beheading.

True, it's unfortunate that they were sold into chattel slavery. I guess it depends what we call their 'own people'. Same general race? Very likely. Same tribe or family? Very doubtful. There were plenty involved too who weren't close to being their own people.
I myself would certainly choose relative freedom in Africa for my descendants over a chance that 10 generations later some of them would be able to buy a Buick and choose between Trump and Biden.

That was his point. They weren't free. ****.

History is full of terrible things without going back just far enough to pick a convenient stopping point. If the government wants to provide passage back to Africa while the African nations rectify their wrongdoings then I’m ok with that. Other than that nobody alive today owes them anything.

We agree. Except I don't think think we owe passage anywhere.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Slavery was simply the mechanism used to cope with large scale agricultural needs before the advent of machinery. Indentured servitude or other similar labor practices were in play before the advent of industrial machinery - or to supplement machinery. Other than the growth of a nation via slave supported trade, slavery really is simply something that went away as we developed better methods with machines and is nothing more than the relic of a bygone era.

We used animals for motive needs before cars, trucks, planes, and trains. We used records before, tapes, CDs, and digital storage on all kinds of portable storage ... or wirelessly with phones, tablets, etc. As man advances we develop new and better means. It doesn't mean past generations were lesser people or more base; it means they worked with what was available, and older ways were discarded as new possibilities were developed. Again you can't evaluate the past based on the present - or the present based on what is waiting in the future. It's such a simple concept, yet people refuse to accept that we are in no position to judge the past without understanding the implication of historical differences.

Defiant Biden Declares He Has 'No Regrets' About Mishandling Classified Documents

This Moron says the docs were "filed away in the wrong place". Well, No chit Sherlock.
It's clear to most americans he should have some regret to express instead of being a total defiant a-hole about the serious situation that's being reported. Biden being stubborn & staying stupid about this should not allow him a pass of not being impeached over it. Can you imagine all the "burn it all down" rhetoric from the left if a Republican POTUS had done this.
