Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I could have guessed. Be warned: they sell all those massage oils and other stuff at a premium; and if SSC is like my wife, she just might decide she needs more massages, pedicures, and on and on. But if she's happy ...

My wife damn near put us in the poor house using the spa.

I'm thinking GV wished he never mentioned going on a cruise. This is a tough crowd.

Actually...

I've learned Hog wears a gimp mask and has a CO2 cartridge in the buttcrack of his Depends

LG has had a problem getting laid for a while

Marcus has a story for every occasion

McDad is a cheap bastard for at least not getting a rowboat

And Slice is probably collecting Social Security

She’s a smart lady she’s not learning anything from me she doesn’t already know.

Imagine, you are sitting out on the veranda watching the world go by and waiting for the wife to get back, and she walks in and says, "I'm going back at 3 for ..., and I booked two more appointments for tomorrow. You almost wonder why you were a part of the cruise in the first place.

Been there done that, got the tab.

So, I'm trying to decide on one of three big trips for '23. I'll likely be going solo because I haven't had a solo backpack in a long time. Probably looking at June through late July/early August.

1. Peru. Inca Trail/Machu Picchu for 1.5 weeks. Lima for 2.5 weeks. Iquitos/Ayahuasca retreat for 1 week.

2. Balkan Coast. Montenegro for 1 week. Dubrovnik, Croatia for 1 week. Dalmatian Coast for 1 week. Adriatic Islands for 2 weeks.

3. 4 days in Amsterdam. 4 days in Brussels. 4 days in Dusseldorf. 4 days in Berlin. 4 days in Prague. 4 days in Budapest. Then 10 days going all around Romania, ending in Bucharest.

Three very different trips. 1 is clearly outdoor/hiking focused. 2 is beachy, island/coastal hopping. 3 is pure Euro backpacking.

All sound like incredible trips, I'm jealous.

Have you been to Europe?

The #3 grand tour sounds great.

You can never go wrong with Amsterdam on the itinerary.
