No. That's why orange pulled the screenshots I presume. Or at least that was the argument at the moment.

Nah I started being the way I am because 2-3 years ago or so I posted something..... can't remember what it was, but it was a legitimate thought and everyone just immediately jumped on calling me a troll and assumed I was a UGA or Bama fan or whatever. I figured I'd live up to my reputation after that.

Although I do think bowls are pointless.
Well, if you purpose to act like a troll, don't get surprised when people pile on you.

Nothing wrong with that. Might’ve confused your post with another convo I was having about kids looking up to him. That’s my b.

But problem easily solved if you don’t want young kids to see it - don’t let them.
It's getting harder and harder to avoid. I think that's part of the issue with seeing it on his fingernails for a football game. That's something you should be able to watch with your kids and not have to worry about your six year old that has just learned to read saying "daddy, what does f*** mean?" It's not a massive deal in the grand scheme of things, but I just think it's inappropriate.

Bought an OLED for Black Friday. Been impressed with with the quality, but unimpressed with the lack of 4k sports content to watch. NFL has very little 4k, Premiere League soccer has more but still only a game or two a week usually from what I’ve read, MLB supposedly has a decent bit but I don’t really watch baseball, and some other leagues have occasional 4k programming.

I went ahead and started a free trial for YoutubeTV 4k channels which will allows me to watch the rest of the World Cup in 4k and man, it looks really great. I hope in the next year or two it becomes more and more available. With the lack of sports content currently I probably won’t continue after the free trial though.

Anyone else have any streaming platforms they use for 4k content?
I was thinking about this earlier this week. Such a small amount of 4k content on YTTV, pretty dissappointing...........I still pay for it for the extra streams for everyone.

It's the new way. No more transitioning or five-year rebuilds-- name-brand, resource-rich programs can build a championship contender from the portal. Lincoln Riley just portaled SC to the threshold of the playoffs. Coaches that can do that can name their terms at programs that are serious about winning championships. Home-state glue guys are great to have, but NIL and the portal have changed the sport. It will evolve, but there will be comers and goers.

Heupel and Riley both proved what everyone knew to be true about the old blueblood programs. Places like USC and UT and several others (including now a lot of new blood programs) are absolutely turnkey with the right people.

The big schools that invest a ton in football and have giant fanbases also have enormous advantageous over smaller programs. Getting them started really is a matter of getting your internal situation settled and bringing in the right coach and staff.

Outside of the playoff games they certainly are diminished in value. To me, they feel like exhibition games. Games you want to win while watching but don’t really make a difference once they’re over.
I'd say every situation is different. If your a program that's been down, a small bowl game at 6-6 and the extra practices mean everything. But you have to build on that momentum.

If your aspiration was a championship, but a late loss prevents that, any bowl game will be meh. All depends on circumstances. We should be THRILLED (players and fans) to be in a NY6 bowl with our history last 20 years, no ands, ifs, or buts about it.

This really pissed me off.

So, I guess they matter a lot to me.

Yeah they matter

That play pissed everybody off

If we get killed by Tulane or something we'll all have a meltdown, because it matters.

People just saying they don't matter are just saying it, because they don't mean as much as they used to.

Definitely not a lot of great options with YoutubeTV. Lots of good shows/movies in 4k on HBO Max, Hulu, etc.. but 4k is just lacking for sports. From what I’ve read it’s going to ramp up for NFL and EPL next year some.

To your point, I (and many thousands of other Vol fans) traveled to the Gator Bowl after the 2019 season. I paid good money for my wife and oldest daughter to go, and drove for many hours. I was totally amped to be at that bowl and was excited with the thrilling outcome.

If you told me that the 2022 Vols were going to the Gator Bowl, I’d be downright outraged!

All relative to your program’s recent history and your expectations during the season.

It’s WAY too generalized to say “all bowls other than the CFB are meaningless and boring.”

Or because they like attention... until they get attention.

Couldn't put it better

Yeah, but they have been saying that for a couple of years since they started with the 4K on YTTV. Probably why I am as disappointed as I am. The 4k programming on HBO Max. Disney, Netflix, etc etc is pretty awesome......just wish we had more options for sports like you say.

The only reason anyone would care about cuss words on fingernails here is bc this is the conservative south. Someone would be upset. The outrage would be regional and grow from there.

Nobody in LA gives a damn bc honestly why would anyone give a damn?
What? Lol. I couldn’t imagine playing against someone who had F my team on it. We would for sure injure him and tell him to shut the f*** up while doing it. Has nothing to do with being in the south, it’s about respect. One thing to be competitive and talk s*** during a game, it’s another to be blatantly disrespectful and complete douche. Your takes are something else some times.

I much prefer non-echo chambers. Much more interesting to consider other points of view.

Not that anybody actually gives a rats azz what I think. Morans live here.
