That actually happened to a guy I went to HS with. He was an 18 year old senior and she was a 17 year old junior. Parents of the girl saw she sent the pics and didn't like him already (he was an alright guy imo). He was arrested for child pornography charges. Eventually got dropped, but they tried to destroy him.

I've heard of cases where the BF is like 18 or 19 and the GF 16 or 17 and she sends inappropriate pics,. I thought it might be something like that. Two stupid kids doing stupid things. But no, it's apparently much worse. I have zero sympathy for these pervs.

it's worse than that:

GPD says they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip says that a Discord user distributed an image of child sexual abuse material.

After further investigating it was revealed that two images were shared from the residence of UF quarterback Jalen Kitna's Discord account.

After talking with Kitna, he says he remembered sharing two images but thought they were "legal" since he discovered them online.

His devices were obtained and three additional images of child sexual abuse material were found.

Those will each be felony charges. Also, a person does not just "find" those images. Those images are found by intricately and actively seeking them. You don't possess or distribute those by accident. Disgusting!

Eh. America is probably the most arrogant and entitled country when it comes to the world stage. I love her, but it is what it is. And I don't think we should eat and sleep worry about what the world thinks of us, but a bit of humility and self-awareness is generally a good thing.
