I've decided I was giving the committee too much credit. They're not trying to manufacture a rationale. They're just putting who they want where they want them, then trotting out Boo to toss around some total BS that no one thinks will hold up. They know they're hosing UT, they're doing it deliberately, they don't care who knows it and they're not going to expend much effort trying to explain it.

At some point, it became OK to do these things to UT. It's really not OK.

Yeah my favorites list:
1. Peyton
2. Hooker
3. Clausen
4. Dobbs
5. Tee (honestly just because of the Natty, and I don't like Ainge or Bray much)

Of course I came into my Vol fandom when Peyton started playing...so some of the greats that predate me I left off just because I didn't get to experience/watch them.

Yeah, I would have to have Shuler on that list because I was around before you.

Is Danny White getting vocal about the rankings and or the Rose Bowl rumor stuff behind the scenes? Sankey obviously isn’t going to take up for us so someone needs to. Not that it may matter much because like you said, somewhere along the line it’s become ok to do these things to UT. DW needs to be tip of the spear in changing this though, along with winning of course.

yeah they're doing what the Washington fans did and I bet the site is cool with them getting away with it to drive more clicks/visits from both fanbases

They have definitely done something! It won’t count my vote yet because it has not been 24 hours but suddenly the whole NE is voting for OSU!
