I am obviously in the minority, but idc what NY6 bowl we play in or who we play. I have never seen us play in one, so I will be excited about any NY6 bowl. I have only seen 6 bowls in my time watching and this one is by far the best. I want 11 wins, idc where it occurs or who it is against.
This warms my heart. And thank you for all you do for this forum.

Let’s just call these the final rankings and let the conference championship games be played with no effect. I can’t handle USC and TCU crapping the bed and letting Buckeyes and Bammers back in.
Here is what will happen: if one of TCU or USC win, which guarantees Bama doesn’t make it in, we will jump
Bama in the final ranking which puts us in the Sugar Bowl. This way the committee can say they got it right. However, if both TCU and USC lose, then of course it stays the same so Bama is in position to make the playoff. Mark it down.

"It would be a waste - for what? Hooker isn't there, you put them in front of Alabama - for what?" ESPN saying the quiet part out loud that head to head does not matter if its Alabama.

Yep. They want to give Bryce Young a stage to win the Heisman again.... they want to make it happen no matter what. No logical way we should be behind Bama. I think so, done on the committee also said ā€œwe focus on the wins not the losses...ā€. Our wins are way more impressive. Bama couldn’t put people away. Except Vandy and Austin Peay.

College Football Playoff Rankings reactions: LSU overrated, Tennessee underrated in penultimate top 25

Underrated: No. 7 Tennessee
Why on Earth is Tennessee ranked below No. 6 Alabama? Because it has an ugly loss to No. 19 South Carolina? That looks way better now than it did two weeks ago when the world thought that South Carolina was a middling SEC East team with no upside. Conversely, Alabama's loss to No. 14 LSU -- a team Tennessee throttled in Baton Rouge -- looks worse after the Tigers lost to Texas A&M last weekend.
Oh, and there's that pesky little head-to-head matchup on Oct. 15 when the Volunteers topped the Crimson Tide 52-49. That should matter, but apparently it doesn't. Why? Is it because star Volunteers quarterback Hendon Hooker tore his ACL against South Carolina and Joe Milton is now at the helm? That is considered by the committee, but it isn't nearly enough to convince me.
Tennessee has a signature win over Alabama and a road win over LSU. What is Alabama's signature win? A Week 2 win at No. 20 Texas? A late-October home win over No. 24 Mississippi State? Tennessee is being unjustly punished because it isn't a traditional power. It proved it deserves to be in line for a CFP spot if chaos ensues and, at the very least, earn the SEC's Sugar Bowl spot if it's left out.

Whatre you talking about ? The Heisman is awarded well before bowl games or the playoffs start.

I just think the people who think we’ll win without a doubt are setting themselves up for disappointment. Vandy is hot, and we’re barely healthy enough to field a team on defense, which was bad enough with starters out there. Our All-Universe QB is done, and the WR’s have to figure out how to catch a Joe Milton 105mph fastball in the rain. It will be a tough game.

I honestly thought we wouldn’t beat Bama while Saban was there. Still incredible to me that we did it and in such a dramatic way.

Wait until next year when Tennessee beats saban’s bama at their house!
Gonna win in the swamp too.

I think having a winning streak against those two teams will be niceā€¦šŸ˜Ž

Auburn screwed this up. Kiffin news leaks early on Tuesday and he gets cold feet.

Auburn folks, fans and some leaders, protest hiring Freeze forcing them to back off.

This isn’t as bad as Tennessee’s 2017 search, but the ineptitude is similar.

Give them time…I think they can exceed Tennessee’s 2017 ineptitude. 😈

That's not even close to true. We'd have been a shoe in if we hadn't lost to SC.
Nope. They would’ve always taken UGA, Michigan, undefeated TCU, and conference champion USC over us. They would’ve tried to find a way to take 1 loss Ohio State and 2 loss LSU if they beat UGA in the championship game.

At the time it looked like we were a shoe in but it turns out it probably didn’t matter either way especially if Hooker still would’ve gotten hurt.

It’s nice to see this continues to gain more and more traction and steam with the media questioning the decision.

South Carolina grounds crew manages that field too.

It's like everyone has completely forgotten that we're just in year 2 of a complete rebuild, a lot worse than what "Steamer" Beamer took over. I think people just expect us to be good, because of our brand.

What’s to get? Matthews played qb at vandy. His Tennessee hatred still burns bright. Only espn would have a former player of one team be at a game in the booth. Not sure about that other guy. Anyone know where he went to school? I don’t honestly care…once Tennessee was rolling up the yards and points, I turned down the volume and just watched the carnage. Got really tired of the ā€œremember when you beat Tennesseeā€ looping storyline that they kept pushing . That’s one of the travesties of our season, having espn announcers and programmers focused on the broadcast team more than the game being played. Show the damn game! Nobody but espn cares about their sideshow narrative.
If I were Tennessee’s AD, I would be all up in the SEC office and espn that that broadcast crew never ever cover my team again.
I think that’s the same crew that went on and on about eating and totally missed a freshman score their first TD in college. Disgraceful disrespect for our program and especially our fans who have to watch the broadcast. Pitiful.
Nope, espn has no narrative of disrespectful behavior towards Tennessee… šŸ¦¬šŸ’©

They don’t want us to be good. They want Florida and Georgia to be the good East teams. They know SC has a ceiling and not really threaten anyone. UT being good again scares everyone. For some reason, we are very hated by a lot of people and everyone wants us down.

This is where I am currently. I want Tennessee to be feared and hated again. I’m also tired of being talked down by people who don’t know what they’re talking about. šŸ˜ˆšŸ˜”šŸ¤¬šŸ‘暟¤Æ

First year I’ve ever thought an 8-team playoff would produce some killer games. I don’t think Georgia is invincible.

I have always been for an 8 game playoff. The 12 still shows favoritism, still leads to the usual bias and corruption. 100% agree UGA is beatable in a fair fight on a neutral field.

Which means they will do the opposite and lie about it. It's too simple and uncontrollable except through officials.
