we are the villians. just look at all the field stormings after ours and the fans throwing trash on the field this year and not a peep out of the conference or the media. we just have to beat the crap out of everyone and give them no choice but to include us. I cannot understand how anyone of us has any "sec pride". the conference does nothing to help us. I try to be level headed about this kind of stuff and not subscribe to conspiracy theories but it has gotten a lot harder to be that way.

Think the SEC Pride thing is pretty much over. SEC can make all the commercials they want, but what really means more is kicking the crap out of other SEC teams until the clock reads 0:00. The more points we put up, the better.

I’ve never had to pay that much attention to these rankings before. What a complete joke they are.

The CFP folks make the NCAA Selection Committee look like sages.

On the flip side, none of us has a had a reason before to pay attention to the CFP rankings. Nice to be here, even though I’m pizzed because of them.

I agree. We should treat everyone like we did Misery this year. As much as I hated Spurrier he was right. Its not our job to stop us, its yours. It's easy to have sec pride when you're on top and beat the crap out of the rest of the conference like we did in the nineties. I have always rooted for whatever helped Tennessee and nothing else...............except when it comes to bammer. I enjoy a gump loss as much as i do a Tennessee win. Man i really hate them and always have. My dad wouldn't even let us eat golden flake chips when I was a kid because of it. I was just raised to hate them that much. Sorry for rambling but i just hate them that much.

Apparently he isn’t, and that’s what’s pissed me off more than anything tonight. The Rose Bowl, the ever-proud, self-proclamed “Granddaddy of them All,” is considering lowering itself to take a third-rate B1G team just so Ohio State can get some sun in Miami.

It’s just kind of hit me tonight how much of its unique character this sport has allowed itself to lose.

We have the offense to compete with anybody, the lack of defense has proven even more costly than we all thought it would in the beginning. I hope the powers that be have taken that small fact to heart or it could raise its ugly head again in the future.

Back in the day people were investigated and prosecuted for “fixing” sporting events. When is someone going to start looking at espn and their employees for this? Controlling who gets in the playoffs and bowl games with their spin (instead of just reporting facts) is definitely a form of “fixing” events.

Except we didn’t have anything to play for. It’s pretty clear based on tonight that UGA, undefeated TCU, conference champion USC, and both the winner and loser of Michigan/Ohio St were going to get in ahead of us even if we beat SC.

Except Boo Corrigan actually said on-air that UT wouldn't drop out of the playoffs with only a close, competitive loss to UGA-- because of UT's SOS and quality wins. The same SOS and quality wins that apparently no longer apply. It's the inconsistency and hypocrisy in dropping 10-2 UT below 10-2 Bama that's galling. But it is what it is.
