I honestly don’t understand the bias against UT..what have we done to piss people off??

Sorry I’m just rambling..🤐
It's probably more recency bias (I'll use that term because @TN-POSSUM Googled it). We've been out of the conversation so long, people look at what the season was as an anomaly. SC game reinforced that mindset. Need to be there more frequently to get the benefit of the doubt.

Wanna see real bias...Penn State is ahead of us in the Coache's Poll.

They played 2 ranked teams and lost to both by 2 or more scores...

Wins over Purdue (8-4), Ohio (9-3), Auburn (5-7), Central Michigan (4-8), Northwestern (1-11), Minnesota (8-4), Indiana (4-8), Maryland (7-5), Rutgers (4-8), and Michigan State (5-7)

Only 4 wins over teams with above 500 records.

I’m mad too but I hope we do not lose sight of the fact that we’re a top 10 team at the end of the regular season in Heupel’s second year following the dumpster fire that has been the last 15 years and barring some incredible upsets we’re a lock for our first BCS/NY6 bowl since the 1999 season. Most people I talked to preferred the 8PM Orange Bowl over the 11AM Sugar Bowl anyway. This is a success any way you slice it.

I told you all! No hope in hell of Tennessee being in playoff contention. #7 might as well be #25, when it comes to playoffs under this format. Talk8ng heads/voters will when out. Regardless of their agenda.

At least the 12 team playoff will...in the end...bring the arguments to the 10-12 range.

As it stands.. they can still slob Alabama's (and OSU's) knob for another couple of weeks.

The whole thing us becoming click bait. Not who did what.
I honestly think it's set up to let Ohio State slide in if USC loses, but I just can't see any way Bama gets in. With K State being ranked so high, TCU will stay in, even if they lose. I don't think the committee wants a two-loss team in, and rightly so. But they're still screwing us by showing their Bama bias. Bama hasn't done a damn thing to deserve their ranking.

Im not sure you are management material. Most people would apply and get the management job BEFORE they quit their current job.
Well yeah, I’m an assistant manager at my current job so I would work out my 2 week notice then start new job..been a manager for 3yrs so yeah definitely manager material..what makes you think I wouldn’t have already applied for said job and getting it before quitting anyway?

I didn’t like what Kirk said that maybe the Rose Bowl takes PSU instead of OSU because they had them last year and that the Orange Bowl would then take OSU. Meaning UT wouldn’t make Orange Bowl.

Is that possible that the Rose Bowl can just decide to take PSU even though OSU is ranked higher?
I don’t know but if so the Sugar should be allowed to take us over the Gumps.

I know some will say "no Bama/Ohio State in the CFP" but me...I like chaos.

Hope Utah upsets USC, hope Purdue upsets Michigan, hope Kansas State stomps TCU

We finish 5th and just outside the CFP...they put in Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Bama.

Dust will settle and they'll have Georgia repeat and we win our bowl against whoever and they gotta put us 2nd with all their precious blue bloods finish with 3 losses to our 2. o_O

Yes. Apparently today...everything is possible.

He actually said Alabama’s quality wins over Texas and Mississippi State was a deciding factor…REALLY - I guess our wins over ALABAMA and LSU count for nothing… Saban just picks up the phone and says “find a way.”

That's BS. Bama barely squeaked by Texas and MSU just slid into the rankings. They want Bama in and would love to have UGA, Michigan, Bama and OSU/SC. Hope TCU wins out, since they'd have a tough time dropping them now.

Honestly fine with this ranking. I’d rather play Clemson in the Orange Bowl. It’s BS, but I’d rather have a fun bowl matchup than be one spot higher.
Everyone keeps mentioning which bowl they'd rather go to, but it's not about that. We deserve to be ahead of Alabama. You don't care now but imagine if both USC and TCU lose and they try to slip Bama into the playoff. You'd sure as hell give a damn then that Bama is occupying the spot that rightfully belongs to us. I don't think it happens, but it's the fact that it could happen. We should be #6. Hell, I'm not convinced Bama should be in the Top 10 given their "quality wins".

Isn't it the bowl, and the SEC who has a say in it? I think the schools have a minor say unless you're Bama.

Apparently they can. They’ll take Ohio State, though.

If it screws Tennessee, I'm sure they'll make exceptions.
