Why wouldn't Heupel's offense work in the pros? It's still football. Are the players and coaches that much better? Has anyone tried it, 100%? Did Chip Kelly try it?

Players are much better. Limited roster size limits the depth.

They gave him a couple intermediate throws early. One to Hyatt and one to Ramel. He was right on the money with both. Then Golesh/Heup just stopped for the most part and said “F it boys, just run verts every pass play”

The issue with this is
1. you keep a starting LB home from a road game.

2. you don’t say why

3. You get absolutely dragged and lose.

4. Rumors start to fly about why and about fights in the locker room.

5. You still don’t say why.

Fans and media will run with this stuff if not addressed.

He can be pissed but he didn’t help the situation.

I agree with your synopsis, but I also don’t feel we’re entitled to know the details or inner workings of what happens in the locker room. But Heupel probably could have diffused it some even with a generic statement.
