The Atlanta Braves

They are completely unaware that their job - like their location - just isn't a destination.
They also underestimate how toxic the environment is/has been for a while now. I think they know it is bad, but they still love Auburn, so that makes it seem less toxic. They have a hard time understanding how toxic and dysfunctional that place seems to outsiders.

Tennessee fans did the same thing during previous coaching searches. Hell, we were lucky to end up with a guy with Pruitt's resume at the time; he had at least been a DC at multiple good places. Hugh is almost certainly a better hire than Dooley, Butch, or Pruitt.

There is zero doubt it’s a better hire. Freeze was actually successful in the SEC.

If you don’t trust your coach to tweet, don’t hire him in the first place
It’s such a dumb hire.

This past year, Freeze also made news when he allegedly sent unsolicited direct messages to a woman named Chelsea Andrews during and after her lawsuit against Liberty. Andrews describes herself in her Twitter bio as “LU ‘15 Sr. Class President & Jane Doe 7,” indicating that she was a sexual assault victim in the high-profile sexual assault case against the university. It would not be hard to see the messages as an attempt at intimidating Andrews.

Can someone explain to me how MLB teams allow their players to play in games outside of MLB Games?

It seems like injuries waiting to happen.

The player has to get permission from their MLB teams. You usually see this for young players that need extra reps that might be fighting for a job or players that struggled the previous year working on making adjustments and wants to try them in game. Sometimes older stars will play as well to draw interest and ticket prices for their hometown city or area.

Acuna looks to have made a slight swing change, so he got permission from the Braves on the basis he is a DH only and the Braves granted permission.

2 World Series. 4 Pennants. 6 straight LCS appearances.

“We’ve gone too far with the analytics.”

People will literally ignore all evidence no matter what because they think they’re right. Ego knows no bounds.

It's the mentality UT had from about 2005 until (hopefully) 2021.

We have a lot of boosters who would rather go 6-6 or 7-5 following their plan than 10-2 or 11-1 following someone else's. It's what happens when you care more about who gets the credit for winning than just winning.
