Beating Saban's Alabama squad is huge for coaching perception, and I think Freeze's wins against Bama lead to an overestimation of his actual skill. He had a chance at Liberty to show he can win without high level talent, and I'm not sure he did that (fine in conference, but not really slaying giants). Even if Freeze can keep his conduct clean, I expect Auburn to be in this general position again in 3-4 seasons. I think recruits have caught on to his televangelist schtick and the obvious hypocrisy he presents. Now that all the big boys can throw NIL money around, his best tools are now public domain.
He did just beat Arkansas. . .

Not going to speak as to his character, but he's a pretty darn good coach. He won in his 2 years at Lambuth, which is no longer in existence. They were 3-8 the year before and 4-6 the year after. He went 12-1 in 1 of his two years there.

At Liberty, he beat Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, and a ranked Coastal Carolina. He also played tight games against NC State, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, BYU, and VTech again. He can coach. Now, can he do it at Auburn in the uber competitive SEC again? We will find out.

With their move to the Big12 coming up. He could go make close to that to go 10-2 in Cincinnati. I just wonder if his sudden social media jabs at Kentucky basketball aren't a sign of some friction.
He is upset about nil and the recruiting class is ranked 50 right now…. They are struggling pretty bad….. could be headed for a steep decline.

I don’t want anyone associated with that program at all during that but there is not real good evidence that Schiano was involved in any way not had knowledge of it.
McQueary states that Bradley told him he had heard of Sandusky's abuse before, including from another assistant in the 1990s. According to the McQueary testimony, Bradley said that assistant was Schiano.
"Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower," McQueary said in a deposition. "And that's it. That's all he ever told me."

That’s what I mean…… Mcquery was not believable at all…. Could have been true but who’s knows?

But isn't that the way it always is? Isn't that why we're criticizing it now, because we think we're going to be left out?

We criticize refs and a change because we don't get the calls.

We criticize SEC HQ and want it moved because we think they play favorites.

It's human nature.
That is one reason I posted later to take the Champions from each Conference , that way nobody can whine about that and then use some kind of computer program developed using today's computer gurus and come up with a way to get the next six or eight or whatever and play a tournament. Playing the weak teams would hurt your ranking so after a while nobody would schedule them and the true best teams would play. Use the Larger Bowls as playoffs if we must have bowls and let everybody else play in whatever bowls are left, kinda like the NIT in Basketball.
