This just makes me think Williams will definitely win over Hooker. Degenerate culture sells, christianity does not. The “**** NDxx” will get eyeballs and clicks, Bible verses get yawns.

Do I agree with that, or like it? No. It’s a serious problem in our society, but it isn’t new.

I see worse sh*t on here about opposing coaches, fans, players, schools, members of opposing political party, etc etc

Had enough. Football games are played on the field. Talking heads saying"LSU and Alabama are clearly better than UT"? Kiss my a$$. Why do we put players at risk of injury when all that needs to happen is get a bunch of ESPN clowns, media hacks and internet fools who have never played or coached a single game to decide who the best teams are. Head to head doesn't matter? On what planet? Our over opinionated prissy-sissy culture has taken over everything. Makes me wanna puke.
Is anybody saying lsu should be over Tennessee? I haven’t seen any

I just asked this in another thread thinking I was here so I'll ask again.

Taylor Zarzour just strongly hinted at a SEC coaching change no one is currently talking about.

Anyone got any guesses?

I still have Arkansas on the radar just because Jerry Jones is a player.

Mark Stoops would also be on the radar...he's been a lot more vocal/active this season with throwing shade at Kentucky, his AD, and the basketball program and then his squad with the "best QB in the draft" goes 7-5 and loses to Vandy at home

So for me my list of potential schools to look at for a coaching change.

1. Sam Pittman - Arkansas
2. Mark Stoops - Kentucky
3. Nick Saban - Alabama (retiring)
4. Lane Kiffin - Ole Miss (it's Lane...just never put anything past him honestly)
5. Jimbo Fisher - Texas A&M (huge buyout...but 5-7 as the 2nd highest paid guy and having the best recruiting class money can buy)

Weird, I’m watching ESPN owned SEC Network and they’re talking up UT over Bama. Not even mentioning LSU bc they’re clearly not a thing with 3 losses.

Must be bc they’re Vol homers….wait….these dudes went to….LSU and FL.

Maybe you should find new people to watch if it bothers you so

Why on earth would ARK fire Pittman?

I haven't watched the recording of the Vandy game yet, but from the stands it looked like Joe definitely had a couple over throws, but altogether not that bad. The one to Hyatt down the visitor sideline (I believe it was right after they fumbled the fake punt, and the play just before Hyatt drew the DPI for getting tacked running a deep route), it looked to me and the folks around me like Hyatt slowed down a little while the ball was in the air, which caused it to be "over thrown".

I wouldn't be surprised if there are other dynamics for the receivers when catching throws from different QBs, such as trajectory of the ball, etc. Maybe Hyatt slowed down because he would have needed to on a similar throw from Hooker. If so, that gives me some extra hope for next year. If not, I don't think his over throwing issues can be fixed if they haven't been able to by now.

I thought the worst one was where Milton missed Fant wide open on the seam route. Again, I haven't seen the replay but that one left us speechless. Did he really miss that throw as bad as it seemed?

1st incompletion in the 1st quarter Hyatt was covered and Joe just threw it away. Hyatt was lone WR on that side of the field, throw it away was the right call unless he wanted to run (which I think the staff told him not to run any)
2nd incompletion in the 1st quarter overthrew Squirrel who was in double coverage, throw was fine but if White was in double coverage. Another play where Joe taking off would have given us a first down.
3rd incompletion end of the 1st quarter overthrows Squirrel in endzone. Had time, had WR open this one was just a bad overthrow.
4th incompletion slight overthrow, White didn't get a clean break around defender and nothing was called (ran the exact same route and White got a DPI when he was tackled the next play)
5th incompletion Hyatt overthrow into the endzone, should have more touch and Hyatt gets there. Just a bad overthrow
6th incompletion pressure and Joe scrambles to his left and tries to make a throw with 5 defenders closing in on him. Hard throw to make across body running left.
7th incompletion pressure and Joe rolls to his right and tries to force a laser to Fant and DB gets a hand on it. Bad decision here, throw would have been a strike if DB misses it (my least favorite throw of the entire night by Joe)
8th incompletion, Fant shows a slant and Joe lobs him a perfect ball but Fant had went Vertical. Fant's fault for changing his route imo.
9th incompletion, deep ball to end 3rd quarter to White think this one got impacted by the wind. But was an overthrow and White was free
10th incompletion, deep ball on target to Keyton who drops it.

So really of the 10 misses I felt like 4 were completely on Joe. Of the 10 he had a total of 6 that were overthrow balls, but of those 6 only 3 were just bad throws and not timing or route issues.

I don't think Hooker is going to win or not win the Heisman based on his faith and him writing a Christian children's book. A player's character puts a bow on a qualified finalist, or adds that edge that some fans love.

Williams puts "F*** [Opponent]" on his nails often. He did it for the ND and UCLA games, and I think he did it when he was at OU as well. To be honest, that doesn't bother me at all. Whatever motivates you, go for it, as long as it's good with your coaches/teammates.

What bothers me is media members thinking what Williams does is funny and competitive, and when our baseball team shot a middle finger it was the worst thing that has ever happened in collegiate athletics, and we were a trashy fanbase for defending it.

The one that got PI called, I thought they were gonna waive off the flag and say "uncatchable"

We've had and used computer rankings. They were criticized probably more than the human ones. I guess that's why we don't use them anymore.
Computer polls are only as good as the data fed into them. They NEVER take into account the huge differences in strength of conferences because people want to pretend it doesn't exist...

The SEC feeds vastly more players into the NFL than anyone else...but they want to pretend it isn't true.
