TCU with one loss would still get in over Bama.Ohio state would go to 3 if TCU and USC were both to lose right? Bama would go to 4 imo and depending on how much stock their putting in head to head we still have a shot. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking, but TCU is out with even with just one loss. They put stock in eye test as well. A bad TCU loss and USC loss, we’re right back in the Conversation.
The 63 SC put on our heads is what would keep Bama ahead of us Even with the head to head advantage. I could be way off here lol. But I think the top 7 will be the same as the AP.
And ignoring the rain. Some people, when they decide someone's bad, they can't see anything else. Not a given. We will have a lot of time to prepare and one game is still not enough to pass judgment on Milton. You all are still looking at last year's Milton and thinking he has not changed and I think he clearly has.
I give you the 2022 Vols offense:
Points per game average: 47.3 (first nationally)
Touchdowns: 75 (first nationally)
Rushing touchdowns: 39 (first nationally)
Passing touchdowns: 35 (tied fifth nationally)
Passing yards: 3,988 (third nationally)
Rushing yards: 2,469 (19th nationally)
Total yards: 6,457 (first nationally)
Just an unreal season of offense. Never thought I would see this kind of production on Rocky Top.
I don't like it, but I understand how the USCe game negatively affects the perception. The more I think about Bama being ranked above us the more I hate it. Not only did we beat them, we beat the other team that beat them, convincingly, at their place. On paper we are clearly better. I get that they only have two losses, both were close and in the final minutes, but you have to take on field results into account. Close doesn’t count.
If they do ever get up close to you, don't back down. Make yourself appear as large as you can and scream the 7 maxims as loud as you can while beating your chest and approaching one of them. If it comes to it, choke out or snapneck one of them in front of all the others.
