Ohio state would go to 3 if TCU and USC were both to lose right? Bama would go to 4 imo and depending on how much stock their putting in head to head we still have a shot. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking, but TCU is out with even with just one loss. They put stock in eye test as well. A bad TCU loss and USC loss, we’re right back in the Conversation.

The 63 SC put on our heads is what would keep Bama ahead of us Even with the head to head advantage. I could be way off here lol. But I think the top 7 will be the same as the AP.
TCU with one loss would still get in over Bama.

Not a given. We will have a lot of time to prepare and one game is still not enough to pass judgment on Milton. You all are still looking at last year's Milton and thinking he has not changed and I think he clearly has.
And ignoring the rain. Some people, when they decide someone's bad, they can't see anything else.

I give you the 2022 Vols offense:

Points per game average: 47.3 (first nationally)

Touchdowns: 75 (first nationally)

Rushing touchdowns: 39 (first nationally)

Passing touchdowns: 35 (tied fifth nationally)

Passing yards: 3,988 (third nationally)

Rushing yards: 2,469 (19th nationally)

Total yards: 6,457 (first nationally)

Just an unreal season of offense. Never thought I would see this kind of production on Rocky Top.

An odd thing I jut realized: leaving out Kiffin since he was only here one season, every coach post Dooley has had a win streak of at least 8 games. Hidden within Tennessee’s decade or more of miserable ineptitude was always the promise that the program could be elite. Heupel finally fulfilled that promise. Was a joy to watch this year!

The more I think about Bama being ranked above us the more I hate it. Not only did we beat them, we beat the other team that beat them, convincingly, at their place. On paper we are clearly better. I get that they only have two losses, both were close and in the final minutes, but you have to take on field results into account. Close doesn’t count.
I don't like it, but I understand how the USCe game negatively affects the perception.

I'd a subjective deal. Said it last night, we'll be 6 or 7, depending on where they decide to weight/proritize the voting criteria.

If they do ever get up close to you, don't back down. Make yourself appear as large as you can and scream the 7 maxims as loud as you can while beating your chest and approaching one of them. If it comes to it, choke out or snapneck one of them in front of all the others.

Same exact way to handle the approach by any SEC fans.DF11A211-0481-4318-8E4D-A379F0B58F72.gif

Watching replay...Joe should have had 350+ and 5+ tds if he had just hit the wide open throws, and this is no exaggeration...we should have easily hung 77 on them.

Joe Milton should have 350+ and 5+ tds on only 21 throws....Iamaleava has to be drooling to get his chance. If Joe doesn't get his isht together and start to hit these wide open throws at a high percentage he won't keep the job long.

I really wish he would just calm down, he reportedly hits these throws automatically in practice...there is zero reason he doesn't do it in games except for adrenaline. He could win the Heisman in this offense if he can dial it in.
