I hate transfer portal season. Every rando in the world will start a thread about somebody that hits the portal, only about 0.2% of which we will actually have interest in.

We will end the season with a +24 PPG margin. 4th best nationally, despite having a top SoS. Maybe our highest margin ever, or at least in recent decades. Incredible.

For some national and historical context:

2022 Playoff(ish) teams:

1) UGA - 27
2) Michigan - 27
3) TCU - 16

USC - 16
Bama - 22
OSU - 26

2016: +8
2015: +15
2007 (East Champs): +5

1998(!!): +19 (SECCG and championship included ofc, so drags it down a bit, but alas)

Would be interested to see the 23 recruiting rankings seperated by offense and defense. That's one thing that might suggest this class is better than our team ranking suggests. A lot of defensive talent. Meanwhile if Nico works out, we have demonstrated an ability to do more with less on offense. I think it's safe to say we don't need Georgia level five stars at every position to have an elite offense year in and out.

One thing I noticed Milton does is he doesn't have or chooses not to use a "Touch" pass. On a play in the game last night he got flushed and he made a great play to get away from pressure and had a guy open for about an easy 5 yard gain but instead of just getting him the ball he fired one that was a little low and if it had of been on target they would still be trying to surgically remove it from the receivers chest.

I think UT is proof that a splash hire is not needed. And in fact, most evidence doesn't support splash hires. They need to go get who is best for them in the situation they are in.

Milton had touch on a swing pass to the right early in the game. Probably more but it's the one I noticed.

Doubtful but you never know. Honestly, I’ve always enjoyed watching my daughters take steps into adulthood. Things like this don’t make me cry, we’ve raised our girls to be independent and to take steps to become a more whole person.
