I mean I don’t even get it lol, Bama isn’t even in the conference championship game, so there is no reason they should be ahead of us, especially since we have the same record and the win over them.

Jesse Palmer has us at 6 in his rankings. I agree.

We beat Bama and our other common opponents they lost to LSU by 1 on the road and beat Candy 55-3 at home. They lost two road games, granted by 4 total points.

We blew out LSU on the road by 4 TDs and beat Candy 56-0 on the road.

Both of our loses were also on the road and 1 was against the #1 team in the country.

Our resume is better. And we beat them head-to-head.

There is a chance that a 1 loss conference champion USC and undefeated conference champion TCU happens in which case UT might not have gotten in the playoffs even if they had beaten SC. I thought how the team responded tonight was an important tell about how effective Heupel would be long term and he passed that test with flying colors. This has been a great season.

As long as Georgia, Michigan. TCU, and USC win next weekend, they should be in. Should USC or TCU lose, Ohio State could sneak in. SEC Network is trying to push the narrative of Bama sneaking in. No way in hell should Bama even be in consideration. ESPN has been pushing this idea of a 2-loss team making it. I don't care what happened at SCar, if any 2-loss team deserves to make it, and I'm not convinced they do, but if they did, it would be Tennessee. Ranking Bama above us is pure bias and in no way reflective of actual logic.

We've seen enough of Milton to know what we've got. If coaches can take a month to game plan around his weaknesses, we should be ok. But acting like we're as good as we were with hooker and being confident about playing OSU or Clemson is nuts to me.

I think Milton is a better QB than you give him credit for. He's not Hooker, but he's also not as bad as you imply.

Again this is an absolutely ridiculous possibility. Especially with us beating both LSU and Alabama. Lol but they won’t beat Georgia so it doesn’t matter.

It does matter because being a playoff team is the gold standard in recruiting.

I've asked several people who hate Alabama and Tennessee equally if our head to head should put us above Bama. Every single one says "you can't get blown out by USC." I think the committee will feel the same way, especially now that Hooker is out. Fair or not, that's how it's going to be.

Not to mention, who are Bama's signature wins this season? Texas? Anyone who watched that game knows Bama didn't really win? 8-4 Mississippi State? 8-4 Ole Miss? Bama has no wins that make them deserving of being ranked above us.

ESPN was pushing for a two-loss team to make it this year. They were pushing LSU. But now that LSU has a third loss, they're pushing Bama. It's ESPN pushing a narrative. This is EXACTLY how they robbed Peyton of a Heisman.

JMO, but a two-loss team, ANY two-loss team, should only be the last option to make the playoffs. If USC loses their conference championship, Ohio State should be in. If USC and TCU BOTH lose their conference championships, I think a 1-loss TCU should still be in over a two-loss team. I'm just not a fan of a two-loss team making a 4-teamplayoff, even though I firmly believe we are the most deserving two-loss team.

He was literally a 76% passer before last week and dropped 60+ yard dimes in mop-up duty multiple times. Lets see him in decent weather and field conditions again before keeping on with this inaccurate narrative.

Honest question, does the shut-out against Vandy make you forgive Tim Banks for the defensive performance against SCar? Honestly, for me, I don't think it does. The SCar loss was entirely on the defense. I know people say win as a team, lose as a team, but the defense lost that game. And it stung so bad, despite today's performance, I still hold it against Tim Banks. Maybe that's unreasonable, but it's how I feel. And I was all for giving Banks a shot when he was hired, and even at the beginning of the season, but the performance of the defense over the course of the entire season makes me seriously question if he's the right guy. And right now, I definitely lean toward he is NOT. But, that's JMO.

They were protecting Milton. Hooker and Jackson were both out. If Milton got hurt, Gaston Moore is the starter with Navy Shuler as his backup.

They should also take into consideration that our backup QB just led us to a 56-point shut out over Vandy. The same Vandy coming off wins over Florida and KY.
