Any chance Tayven Jackson beats out Milton next spring?

IMO tonight and the Bowl game are trial run for Milton... if he doesn't impress we need to hit the Transfer portal for a stop-gap until Nico is ready.

Joe Milton has failed tonight... same issues of the last 4 years, constant over throws and a complete lack of touch
Agree except for the portal part, and maybe I agree on the portal part too. That was really what I'm wondering? Can Jackson not be the stop gap from Hooker to Nico? I know he was a 4 star, but that doesn't always mean a lot. Does Jackson have a skillset that could be successful in Heupel's offense if given a fair opportunity?

Did you just see the miss to Fant? No way is he leading to 9-10 wins.
As much as it pains me, at this point I have to agree. He doesn't look any better than last year. He's missed several wide open receivers. Keep in mind he's had little to no pressure on him also. When he faces better teams with stout defenses, it will get worse.

Joe has had 5 years of college ball to learn touch. Never gonna happen. This fast paced offense relies on completions. Incompletes slow it down. Accuracy most important thing for any QB. Joe ain’t got it and hopefully Jackson does or Nico learns the offense quick. Even possible Moore might start. Heupel saw something in him at UCF. Milton might have won 8 games this year.

Random thought, but they really need to try and get Hyatt the record. I think he's about 30 yds short...
Haven't really seen him since his first two catches early in the game. Is he still in there? Did they take him out due to the weather and the game being in control maybe?

I don't know but he's got 86 yds so far and he needed about 115, I think...

Yes. That is a major point. He won’t get bigger windows than he got tonight, and he missed those.

Milton may have looked better if it wasnt for the weather as well. We dont know how its affecting the routes by the WRs
Agreed.

Even though our WRs were open by 5 yards, the rain definitely took a step off.

I think It is Milton's job to lose unless TJ or Nico come out and look much better which is unlikely considering Milton has 2 years in the system and the arm he does. I think the way Milton handles himself and the leader he is on the team will be hard to overcome, that doesn't mean he is necessarily the best of the 3 but we will see.

The score is not s result of the QB. We would have had 70 by the 3rd quarter if we had Hooker. The RBs and O-Line had big days due to the play calling changing once it was realized Joe is the same ole Joe from last year. I bet our rushing yard are larger than our passing yards this game.
