Seeing the defensive recruits we have coming in maybe this staff just doesn't have the horses to do what they want to do and are just trying to hold on. I will say that sometimes one has to change their scheme to fit the talent and we haven't done that if that truly is the case.

Banks is mediocre and Martinez is horrible. End of story.

Hyatt could though the slot has been a great move. But White and Hyatt are either or for slot. I’m not e tied for Bru and Ramel outside. Both are solid but neither have deep speed.

The staff moved Hyatt to the slot bc he struggled with press coverage…. He might grow and improve but still isn’t a strong point of his right now…. Bru and Keyton is as fast as Tillman so they may develop into going deep to an extent.

My first choice day one. Second was Tulsa’s Joseph Gillespie now at TCU. I don’t remember Arnett being a possibility (not sure how much effort was put out) and Gillespie wasn’t a candidate.

My thought however is..how much of the abuse leveled at them was really racist? I would say the vast majority was just anger about the guys missing shots that had nothing to do with what color the guys who missed those shots were.

That Iran squad is better than they showed against England. But yes, it would be disappointing if we didn’t get a win and get through.

This is exactly why the red card and subsequent win by Iran was a bad thing. Instead of needing a win or draw, we need to win. Iran will know this and park the bus against us. Parking the bus with 9 in the box is very effective against teams without good strikers.

Quite a bit of it unfortunately. Twitter was a really sad read around that time. I saw a lot of pretty disgusting stuff on there.

The kneeling didn’t start from that though, they were already doing it about a year or so before that. That was just an example of why they are and keep doing it.
