He inherited multiple NFL players on that UT team and at many positions. Berry, Dan Williams, Monterrio Hardesty, Jacques McClendon, Chris Scott, Jonathan Crompton, Denarius Moore, and Luke Stocker were all drafted in the top 5 rounds. Several had solid NFL careers. Austin Johnson wasn’t drafted but had an NFL career. Then, guys like Gerald Jones, Dennis Rogan, and Rico McCoy were good college players. That team was not devoid of talent.

Sure, and two or three would of started across the top five teams in the sec at that time. Outside of Eric, Dan, & Denarius, no one was a game changer. Also no depth for that team.

Yeah.
It maybe just not a good fit from a personality standpoint between the two.

Also Hyatt is marvelous and Squirrel White ain't far behind. Seriously, White is a better after the catch guy and is almost as dangerous as a deep threat. So those are two really good players in front of him
Tillman is like a RB.

OMG please stop using that line. Doesn’t matter what you did the games before. You look at a whole body of work. Only praying that it was a massive terrible coaching day and doesn’t happen again.
Looking at 10 games sure beats the folks focusing on 1 game. In statistics, outliers are normally thrown out as well, so it wouldn't be without precedence. On the other hand, people rarely would ever extrapolate off of 1 instance.

He went 7-6, it’s not like he went 10-3. I guess you can theorize on the 8 players that got drafted. He lost to Auburn and UCLA, and they had less players drafted that year. Keep defending the knucklehead.

This is great, but when you look at where the program was at usc and Tennessee, then taking over at OM the stats are pretty respectable. USC was down 15-25 scholarship players and Tennessee was a dumpster fire being mismanaged at the top with two or three guys on the team who would of started for other teams in the conference that were top 5 at the time.

Ole miss is a joke of a program with a high school stadium. Two or three years they were respectable with freeze, but were recruiting with hookers, drugs, and money.

The only other time they were respectable since 1990 was with Eli.

At least tell the entire story when you start throwing stats out like this.

Don't make excuses for that tool. He is very deserving of all the criticism he is getting

I'll tell the entire story. He sucks and is overrated.

I’m not defending just stating the obvious when morans across Twitter are stating win loss records.
