I like ZZ but haven’t been too impressed with him this season. He drives until het gets stuck and throws the ball to whoever can restart the play. If he is going to keep driving, and I hope he does, he need to drive with a plan in mind. He barely averages more assists than turnovers. He has to make more of an impact on offense because he is a liability when they are posting him up on defense.

He's fantastic defensively, but to this point a liability offensively.

how quickly they forget the Matt Luke, Houston Nutt, Ed Orgeron eras.

Don't get too high on our horse...a big chunk of our Miserable Bastard Brigade will be screaming for Heupels head when we regress a 2-3 games next year...especially if he makes no moves on defense and one of those losses is a 50+ burger to one of the mid-tier SEC schools.

I hope he can work an even greater miracle than this year and avoid that happening.

Ole Miss is one of the most delusional fan bases of all fan bases. They truly believe that they are elite and have an inherent right to be seen as elite. They will never reach the days of Johnny Vaught again yet to talk to their die hards, they are always on the cusp. The really old money people there run everything. If Lane doesn't leave on his own, they will give him the Freeze treatment at the first opportunity.

That's mostly because he was not a heralded recruit and did nothing before last season. Even still, most had him as a day 2 pick if I recall correctly.

He has thrown several memorable masterpieces this year despite playing very little. The long pass to Keyton against Akron (iirc) was one of the most beautiful bombs I have ever seen in a game.

The crosser against Ball State had me laughing. Hooker can't make that throw.

The defense is...well the same horrible defense it has been all year...and the offense just lost its motor and a couple of tires.

Vandy is playing solid ball, not great by normal SEC standards, but they are playing solid.

This game could very well be a loss. If the focused defense from the Kentucky game shows up we will run them, but if the lazy sloppy show from last Saturday shows up...we will probably lose.

The problem is that I don't know what to expect from the offense in this game, but I am pretty sure what to expect from the defense.

Hope I am wrong.

Someone posted yesterday or the day before, and it caused concern for me. Milton being our only talented qb that's healthy is gong to severely limit designed qb runs. I pray to God he is not too juiced and has some touch on the ball in the air!
Andy will probably score on our swiss cheese defense, let's see if our O can stay out front.
