Can't sleep on anyone as we found out Saturday..... that being said I would be SHOCKED if this team didn't respond positively to that embarrassment and the loss of Hendo for the rest of the season.

With the defense giving 10 yard cushions and no pressure...anybody can hang 40+ on us if the QB just hits throws. Those huge cushions give ridiculously easy throws for QBs to get in a rhythm.

It would not shock me at all. It would actually shock me if we blow them away.

I think that speaks volumes of how the coaching staff feels about our DB's. It seems like the game plan was hang 60 on em and hope that Rattler plays like Rattler had. Neither of those things happened Saturday.

I've never understood why folks are so quick to blame the players who are largely unpaid and give the coaches who are paid millions a pass.

We have the best, most passionate fanbase in CFB..

We have the worst, most toxic fanbase I'm CFB..

Both statements are 100% true.

If this bunch of f'n toxic dumbasses runs off Heupel when next year is a step back...I am out for good....I can't take the stupid HC merry-go round anymore. As long as he is our coach, we will have an offense that gives us at least a shot to win against anybody.

Will need time to get Iamaleava and Jackson up to speed, and a couple of years worth of good recruits and hopefully a couple of better defensive coaches and we will always be in the mix imo.

There is no savior, there is no 100 million guaranteed winner. Heupel has proven ge can be competitive, even with a garbage DC and DB coach, and way below average defensive players.

Our expectations before Heupel were essentially:

Y1: ~6-6
Y2 ~7-5
Y3 ~8-4
Y4+ 8-10 wins a year

And here we are on the way to 10-2 lmfao!!!

Dear god people better let everything chill if we go 7-5 in what is a clear rebuilding year. Just keep going, otherwise you end up being Michigan firing a winning coach right before he finds true stability as a top 5 team. Let's not.

(Fwiw not expecting to go 7-5, js that's not an unreasonable season with all the turnover...jmo but we go into the season with a Vegas o/u at ~8.5 wins)

I agree with the sentiment, although I'll still support the team even if we acquiesce to the crazies and fire Heupel and White and burn down Knoxville. I can't help myself!

With that said, I may not watch this weekend... shades of 2018/2016/2012 are still going through my mind, particularly with the ongoing rumors about locker room instability that just make no sense to me as an adult and a fan. We'll see how I feel later this week...

No one should get a pass.

But I don’t want to see it’s about the “Jimmy’s and the Joe’s” from anyone then. We should be able to play ball with classes ranked 20th. You guys just argue with fits your opinion. I applaud it too, because I do it daily.

We need better coaching, but we also need better players. Pruitt apparently didn’t hand over McDonald’s bags to DB’s other than Key Lawrence. It is staggering looking at the past 5 classes. Oh, and the next highest DB was Alontae, and guess where he is?

We should not play historically nightnarishly bad defense against a pure ty garbage offense. That is what everybody is saying.

I would have thought our game vs them would have looked like their game against Ole Miss.

Now I have no reason to think we'll keep them under 31 at a minimum.

Time for Heupel and the staff to empty their pockets of all the trick plays, gadget plays, super schemes that they were saving for a hopeful trip to the playoff.

Milton will always battle the same problem. In the NFL I actually think it'll be less of a problem, but in college it shows up more.

Touch. Not everything needs to be full speed. Before he hit that TD to Tillman in the last series he had missed an easy TD the previous one (when it was 56-31 with about 8 minutes to go).

This is true. Rattler made some incredible throws. It was just a perfect storm of us playing our worst game on defense (which is quite the dubious accomplishment) while he had probably the best game of his college career.

I think it was just a perfect storm...but there is just no excuse for that gameplan and the half-assed effort so many guys were giving.

The gameplan was putrid...and that is on the DC and staff.

The tackling and pursuit were putrid...and tackling and pursuit are 100% effort, and that is on the players.

Well, partly because 153 rushing yards and 4.0 YPC with 9 TFL and 1 sack was about what the front has done all year on average. The secondary gave up 81.6% 453 and 6 TDs with 0 INTs, that's the worst performance all season in every category except yards (Bama had 455).

Hopefully this team uses Hooker's terrible injury and what he's given to this team this season as fuel to man up, and go out there and whip Vandy like we should.
