You ever play football? We had same thing at Gallatin High. You step on the G and everyone jumped you. It was known and universal. Only time someone stepped on it was
1) they didn’t know, normally freshmen
2) to be disrespectful

Okay, well it's dumb. Put something on the floor and it will likely be walked upon at one point or another. I really hope we didn't leave behind our best linebacker because he stepped on something that is on the floor.

We were 80% to win both. Was never a gimme by any means.

And we were...wait for it...2% to win all those other games we did.

Things like that tend to run out eventually. It is what it is. Look at the totality.

Replying to you is like arguing with the wall. IDGAF what the odds were at the beginning of the season. We had beaten the odds to get to 8-1. We blew it against a bad SC team. The performance last night cost us a playoff spot. You can spin the 'odds" any way you want but what I just stated is FACT!

When the YPP and PPG don't match up and you're only living off of turnovers and redzone D...it will have a Led Zeppelin game eventually. It finally happened. And yet I wouldn't trade it for the world the first 10 games.

Part of the reason we are here at 9-2 is because of the defense. Not going to forget that after 1 poor performance.
You're right...of course you are right...but..😖

A few have mentioned this already, but I agree that this Vandy game is a huge test and indicator of this staff and this program moving forward. How will the staff handle the embarrassing, derailing loss and have the team focused and ready to whip Vandy? Will they, or won't they? We still have the talent on paper even without Hooker to beat this Vandy team on the road, so I guess we will find out what the coaching staff is really made of and how this team handles this type of adversity. Will we learn from it, rise up, and make a statement, or will we hang our heads and just give up and wash away everything they've done and earned this season?

If the rumors are true, it’s even more of an indictment against Heupel and our defensive coaches. You can’t let their be locker room tension with two games left and the playoffs on the line. Get them in order and handle business. If you can’t, that’s a big red flag.

You need to step back and give them a moment to handle this adversity and see what happens. If they had any idea what happened last night would occur, they would’ve obviously would’ve tried something. Hope they learn from it and finish the year then do what they think is best. Firing coaches on Sunday after this game is close to being Pruitt like firing a guy in game. Let them finish the season then do whatever seems needed. Banks out killed us but so is playing safeties at corner and having weak safeties playing safety. With that said, if folks threw the game, clean out their locker last night and send them on a greyhound headed home.

I’m still shell shocked really. Super glad there is no Titans game today. Don’t think I could handle 2 days in a row

When D-backs use the trail technique they need the speed to close on the receiver and quickly react to the ball. They are to glue themselves to the hip of the receiver and look for the ball when the receiver does. We do not have but a couple of young guys that have the speed to do that. They are not developed well enough to play many snaps. We also do not have enough speed at S at all because we are playing safeties at CB and Nickel part of the time. So when a QB is on and gets plenty of time to scan the coverage, they will eat, like most QB's not named Levis or Daniels did this year. They did not get the time, our pass rush was there to disrupt. Last night Rattler had 4-8 seconds on nearly every pass play. So neither man or zone are going to work, even if we were good at zone, which we are not. When you see d-backs backing up the second the ball is snapped like last night on every pass play, you know you are in for a long day or night if you do not get to the QB with pass rush.

So why minimal pass rush? I want to see the stats of the number of plays per player. The coaches chart that.

What I saw overall was defenders in every position group engaging with blockers on every play. I saw guys not attacking the ball, not trying to avoid and get off blocks, waiting on the ball to come to them, or taking horrible angles. There is zero excuse for players on defense to not attack the ball. You have one job, even on pass coverage. Go for the ball.

He’s the root of all what? You think it’s Jeremy Banks’s fault we got boat raced by USCe?

I bet you won’t tell him f him and he’s not that sharp to his face. That makes you a pu**y.
If rumors are true and Milton broke his jaw, I bet he wont try to assault Hooker again. That makes him a pu**y.

Got to be more than that. Seems like he had problems with plays before hand and then disrespected the team by stepping on the T. If the entire team was behind leaving him I’d say it was the straw that broke the camels back.
You are entitled to your opinion on what is stupid or not. As part of a team that acknowledges the rules and traditions, it’s good.

Don’t think they are.

But you think if they were, you’re saying for him not be a pu**y, he’d have to keep trying to assault Hooker?

I made this comment last night and in the GA game. This offense was rolling with Bru , Hyatt & Keyton. When it was Tillman . the offense was out of whack it seemed. Hooker is always looking for Tillman on every pass almost while Hyatt is running open down field or a TE. He is locking in on Tillman and it was the same thing last night. I like Tillman and he is great but this offense is not clicking when he is out there. I think I seen on here or twitter that he was targeted 18 times. When he was not on the field Hyatt would go off for over 100 yds but when Tillman is out there its like Hyatt just disappears. Tillman just needs to get ready for the draft. Hate that he got injured but this offense is not the same when he is out there
Yet Milton hit him for a TD. If there are blinders, they’re fitted for Hooker imo. Not disagreeing with you by posting this btw.

Can we all just take a moment to step back and consider what people are arguing over?

We're literally arguing over the fact that we failed to make the playoffs...in year 2...👀

That is nuts that we're even discussing it. People can pour over the reasons we didn't, but how about ALL the reasons we EARNED being in the discussion to begin with? We did an unimaginable amount of good this season to even put ourselves up there. And we have restored our brand to one of prominence and importance moving forward. That is yuuuge, as were those accomplishments.
All true...but...😖

I think the reason I am so upset is that I finally...BELIEVED...and then...this hellish nightmare.
