I want to be able to snow ski, waterski and wakeboard into my 80s if I choose to. I realized as I approached my 60th birthday that I had been overweight (for me, too high body fat %, not enough lean body mass). I have decided that I am leaving my fat 50s behind.

Body weight squats have been a great way for me to lose weight, gain leg strength and endurance without endangering my back. Back surgery in 1992.
Body weight squats allowed me to get in shape for a 60+ mile hiking trip (with a 60 lb backpack). I did squats then with my backpack at 50 lbs. and body weight only.

I have a rowing machine that I am addicted to as well.
I lift weights for upper body, but not as often as I want to.

I will not go gently into my older years. I’m going to fight, and play, and enjoy as much as I can. I have partners that tell me that they are getting too old to do the things that I do. They are all 10 years or more younger than I am! Giving up and giving in like that is how you age gracelessly. I just laugh at them. They want to fade away, fine for them. No way in Hell is that gonna happen to me. You act OLD, you get OLD.
Eff that noise.

Doc!

I’m not saying I disagree that our resume would be better. It is and it would be. But, the Committee is comprised of humans and not computers. Humans have biases and are irrational. There is a strong disdain for the SEC and how many years we have seen 2 SEC teams in the playoffs. USC is a historic program that would draw big TV numbers and keep the West Coast market engaged in the playoffs. If USC runs the table, I just can’t see them being left out, even if I think we are the better team with the better resume. Internal politics will keep them in. I would love love love to be proven wrong, but it just feels like that is exactly what will happen, which is why I am rooting hard for the Bruins next week.
The same committee that keeps choosing to put 2 SEC schools into the playoffs? Yeah, I don't mind their bias

He will definitely have a much bigger field to play with...and this offense thrives on space..so..🤷‍♂️

The only issue, the only thing holding Joe back from unreal stats, is processing quickly when it gets fast out there.

I think his...innacuracy and tendency to not pull the trigger at the right moment...all stems from that problem.

If he has learned the fluidity of the offense (as Hendon said) and the game has slowed for him a little...then he truly could accomplish greatness.

I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do next year...until the UTM game. He seemed to have the same old problems..stiff and hesitant...in that game...but it may not mean anything.
He's definitely a different runner. Seems lime he learned he's a lot bigger and stronger than most people who try to tackle him. Last year he played scared of contact, this year he's blasting people.

Folks, try not to get sucked into the talking heads narratives. They’re trying to drive ratings and keep things exciting over the next month. That’s their job. But the reality is Tennessee will have a better résumé than any other 1 loss team in America. So as long as the Vols take care of business these next two weeks they will 100% be in the playoffs.

Exactly. That is why the Bears of the media are going to plant doubting comments about the Vols chances to drive clicks and 👀. When you need to show your boss you are relevant, throw crap out about the Vols.

Came here looking for a pep talk.. starting to have doubts this morning. Lot of football left but it’s hard to shake that familiar feeling of our bad luck from the last decade
