If Sampson could block worth a darn he’d be playing more. They want to keep Hooker upright as much as possible, thus Sampson benched.
FTR - I’d love Sampson to figure out blocking and be able to see the field more. Definitely gives us another dimension/speed back there for sure.
He had to make the plays and he did. There were no picks sixes in this game. Our defense manned up in the second half but too little too late. He outplayed our QB. Using his LUXURIES effectively is not a negative.
They didn't need the refs to help them out, but I can see that being a possibility if we had been competitive.I feel bad for Mizzou, SC, and Vandy. This team is going to be pissed and want the playoff rematch bad. We’re gonna score 50+ on each of them.
For all my conspiracy peeps: if Sankey wants two teams in the playoffs, us and Georgia are the best bets and we had to lose that game for us both to make it…
EggsackleighAhh yes...Mike McCoy with his 54 career receptions for 547 yards and 3 total TDs who was 8th on their team in receptions the one championship Bama won while he was there is an expert on this matter.
Bama has lost 2 road games by a total of 4 points on the last play of the game. Their fans/former players/media are absolutely IDIOTS if they want to turn on Saban. Most of them don't seem to remember how bad it was during the post Stallings era. But keep chirping and run Nick outta town for retirement. I am here for the downfall of the Crimson Tide!
He nailed some pretty good throws in the first half. Hendon missed similar throws. If you were evaluating the QBs on JUST that game, Stetson was much better, regardless of talent around him. The throws that were similar were made by Stetson and missed by Hendon.Zero picks against our defense that just flourished in the last two weeks still doesn’t impress me..Stetson Bennett is who he is…won’t be in the NFL but acts like he will be a first round pick…you win @butchnalove you buddy
ESPN CFP Predictor
Assumes Tennessee wins out and doesn't play in the SEC title game.

The Vols still have a lot to play for. Play smart, keep the focus on the next opponent, and let things play out.
Put it back on! Now! Flag on = winning. Flag off = not winning. 2 or 3 sheet metal screws and some silicone sealant should keep that thing on there through January 10th. Give your all!We found our VOLS flag that blew off the car on Friday. We searched all over and today it's just there on the side of the road as obvious as can be. Weirdness.

But one game does not a QB make. Hendon has better NFL potential for sure. But I think our scheme has made Hendon look a LOT better than he actually is. He's good, but not as good as his stats. I don't think 100% of his success will translate to the NFL.
I think someone else mentioned this scenario. Still, it's pretty intriguing. UGA loses to UK and to LSU in the Championship game. Do the two one loss SEC teams get in? What if Ole Miss takes another hit? Does this leave one one loss SEC team for the play-offs? Not even sure you need TCU to lose with these circumstances and both teams in the SEC Championship game end up with two losses. GBO!!
Haha, it's not a knock on Hendon, it's making sure to give Heupel his due. He's a large of the reason we're seeing so much offensive success, guys running wide wide open more than we've ever seen before. Hendon has potential to be an NFL QB, but Heupel's scheme would make any QB (and WR) look better than he actually is, not just Hendon. Every QB will look worse when they leave Heupel's system.Buddy it was nice knowing ya because you’re about to get Flamed out of this forumbut to respond to your comment…we’ve seen this movie before converted QB to WR in the NFL incoming

We outta do it to uga if we see them againTold my dad, who is a UGA fan, that if Georgia can get to Hooker and rattle him, they will win. If they did what Pitt did on defense, UGA wins. And that's exactly what happened.
The defensive line slide confuses the hell outta the protection. I was hoping after Pitt they would have adjusted because they had seen it before. Apparently not. They have to fix it now because it's the only way to really stop the offense.
Good your takes are bad...
Difference between clean pocket and one with guys smashing you. Georgia was in the backfield more than Jabari Small this game, 6 sacks, countless hurries and pressures. I think Stetson saw pressure exactly one time and he got away from Mitchell for a TD.
There were plenty of times where Hooker had time and a wide open WR and missed the throw. There were other times where he had time and made a bad decision or a bad throw. The similar instances where Stetson had time, he made a higher percentage of the throws in those similar instances. Hendon had a bad game, just admit it. It doesn't make you a bad fan to call a spade a spade. Yes he had worse cards to play with, but there were plenty of opportunities for him to make a play and he didn't take advantage of those opportunities as often as Stetson took advantage of his opportunities. Yes Stetson had way more opportunities, but still.Good your takes are bad...
